Andrew1984ParticipantHere are a few scenarios that are plausible (not necessarily likely, but reasonable). What would each team do?
1. Let’s say Cleveland takes Wiggins, Milwaukee takes Exum, and Philly takes Embiid or Vonleh. Is it a foregone conclusion that Orlando selects Jabari, or is Marcus Smart still in that conversation?
2. If the Jazz do not make any trades and the first four picks (in no particular order) are Wiggins, Parker, Vonleh, and Smart, who would the Jazz select? Embiid, Exum, Aaron Gordon?
3. If the Lakers have Exum and Randle available to them, who would they take? Exum seems like the obvious answer but I think the Lakers like Randle a lot.

Hector_Reyes_8ParticipantIf Orlando takes Parker, they’ll have 3 tweeners. Seriously, Moe and Harris are nice, but having Parker makes a huge logjam at the 3 spot, and they aren’t big enough for the 4 spot either. Maybe Parker though. They’ll have 3 tweeners and no actual PF, which they need. Moe is too skinny for the 4 and he doesn’t have a 3 skillset, some for Harris but he’s bulkier, and Parker is like 245+ and he didn’t have the best footspeed back when he was 230.
Jazz would take Exum, and Boston takes Vonleh, or Gordon because Ainge really likes him. That leaves either Gordon/Vonleh, Smart, and Randle for the Lakers, and I wouldn’t mind any of them at all.

SwatLakeCityParticipantThe Jazz would probably select Exum to answer your second question. Burke is a little on the small side so they might want a bigger point guard. He can also play alongside Burke. Personally I don’t like the pick as I think Exum is a little to similar to Alec Burks. I think Exum will be gone at 3 or 4.
For the Magic at 4 to answer your first question. I think they have it down to Smart, Exum, or Vonleh. If they go for Vonleh they will select a PG at 12, most likely Payton.
Exum won’t fall to 7 in any scenario. So get that out of your head. Yes, he has the same agent as Kobe, but that doesn’t mean he wants to go to the Lakers. That was thought that some radio/newspaper person had and it leaked out into the media. Totally blown out of proportion, and I think Exum cleared up all thoughts of that at the combine. The Lakers do really like Randle. They also like McDermott. So the 7th pick is between those 2. Although if they decide on McDermott they will probably trade down in order to get him. They won’t select McDermott at 7, it will be Randle or Smart, if available.

ZarathustraParticipantOrlando should take parker at 4 and deal with the other tweenners later, why not for draft picks?
Exum seem the best picks, everybody is scared or not willing to wait for Embiid and i see Gordon as defensive specialist not having the same impact that Exum and Embiid could have.
At 7 the Lakers would have the luxury of choice with Exum and avalaible.
Great questions, can’t wait for the draft !!!

juves4783Participant1. i actually think parker is #1 on orlando’s wish list. they offered the cavs and bucks the #4, #12 and afflalo to move up. i think parker would make the most sense with oladipo.
2. i’ve heard utah like exum, then gordon, then embiid.
3. i think the lakers would go exum over randle….just because they have a need, have nash and he has more upside.

Andrew1984ParticipantHere’s one more: What would the Kings do if both Marcus Smart and Aaron Gordon were available? I’ve heard they are highly interested in both prospects.

mixtape2003ParticipantIf Parker is still there at 4, do yall think Utah will put a trade offer on the table for Orlando?

bkb77ParticipantParker would be the pick at 4 but it’s highly unlikely The Bucks would pass on him (he’s been rumored to be their guy and he has been rumored to prefer going to The Buck being its only 1 hour away from Chicago).
Also if exum would go 2nd, the Sixers would jump all over Jabari he’s BPA and their biggest need (a Go-to Scorer on the wing).
