WinterSoldierParticipantAm I crazy to think he is being underrated? I know he is not a great athlete but he isn’t so unathletic that it would be a detriment to a team. His production was incredible at NC State. He has a fully developed mid range game, I just don’t see how he can’t score in the league. He may not be a great defender but he got more steals than Parker and Wiggins so he can’t be horrible at defense.

arowsky205ParticipantEveryone was on his bandwagon around the time of the NCAA tournament, and since then it seems like many have hopped off. I don’t understand that, as I believe he’s definitely lottery pick material. He’s too gifted of a scorer not to be. His midrange game will absolutely translate to the next level, and his outside shooting proficiency will only improve as he does not have to carry the entire scoring burden of a team. His jumper isn’t broken to begin with. He plays as hard as anyone in the draft, and I love his take-no-prisoners attitude. He’ll be a HUGE steal.

celtics1982ParticipantI love him and compare him to Paul Pierce. He’ll need to improve his shoot, but the rest fits. Pierce wasn’t an elite athlete, but he was a good one. He is a sleeper, should be in play for lottery, not late teens to early twenties.

jerb2011ParticipantI really want the Thunder to take this guy if he’s there at 21 and then a facilitator at 29 like Dinwiddie, Napier, or Clarkson. Who ever is available.

B FreeParticipantI have been holding back on talking about him because I know I am much higher on him then most. Now before jumping down my throat hear me out… What does Parker have that he doesn’t? Parker has the height on him but he is carrying around too much weight and while it helps him play in the post better teams aren’t looking at him as a post player they are looking for a franchise changing SF. I’ve said it before I think he will be a slower Carmelo which is fine if you are looking for a pure scorer who won’t be much help on defense. Parker is clearly a better shooter than Warren but Warren has a mid range as someone else noted and is quicker than Parker and even if Parker does get to his optimal weight I would still say Warren may edge out Parker in athleticism. I am more comfortable with Warren guarding my SF than Parker. I just don’t see Parker as a guy who lead a championship team I see him being a great scorer. I also think Warren is a great scorer and if you are say Phili and could get Parker at 3 and Warren much later I think the value is there where you will get very similar out put with Warren, maybe not instantly, for much less money, ego, and risk.

OhCanada-ParticipantIm in the minority in thinking especially if the 76ers draft Exum they will need to find someone who can score now with the 10. At SF Philly can take Mcdermott or Warren who can also both play a bit of PF smallball considering Young is not a longterm piece for the 76ers to Hinkie and they have a huge need for someone who can score in a hurry and many different ways. Mcdermott would be a better fit on paper to stretch the floor but I think he is an ideal MJ type pick for the Hornets.
I dount Hinkie really cares if they dont win next year. Mcdermotts and Warrens defensive faults could potentially be hidden by having a great ncaa weak side/help defender Nerlens Noel. Even if they arent great defensively the numbers would be their on offense to justify the selection, similar to James Harden. Terrible defensive SG yet its hard for many people to say he isnt the best SG in the league because his team wins 50 games and he is good for 25 points and 6 assists a night.

JNixonParticipantHe really, really has a knack for scoring. I think he’s gonna struggle somewhat on defense in the NBA, but he will be able to light up some teams scoreboard immediately if they give him time as an instant offense player
