Fat_JefeParticipantit looks like Wiggins and Parker are going 1,2… Does Philly take embiid, smart, exum… or do they take a randle or vonleh?
Me personally I either take my chances with embiid sit him this year, grab my sg or sf with 10th pick and bank on next year’s lottery tip complete my team
Other option I take randle and pick up a 2 guard with the tenth pick
I like exum/smart also, I just think they’ll get better value drafting a pf early and a sg or sf with the tenth pick

UnbiasedObserverParticipantI don’t think so. The Bucks will take him at 2. Especially if Parker goes no. 1

MisterMordenParticipantThe Bucks are also very interested in Exum also. They will take Exum at 2, and Wiggins will drop to us at 3. You’ll see.

fito91ParticipantI’ve read that the Bucks will take whoever Cleveland doesn’t draft between Wiggins and Parker

mrhancocParticipantto say what the Sixers should do but I think its between Exum and Embid, the odds say its Exum but if they set up a deal with the Cavs or Lakers it could be Embid due to trade/swap picks and assets, after that the sixers have so many options of trading picks, so its really tough to tell what they will do outside of that 3 pick

SpartanGloryParticipantNext year’s draft should be top heavy with a lot of really good big men, so it might be a better idea to not get too risky with Embiid. Maybe we should just go with Exum at 3 if we don’t trade. If we can move up to the #1 and not give up too much, obviously that should be our first choice.
Assuming that we cannot grab Parker or Wiggins, maybe we move back in the late-mid lottery and take Randle and a SG with the #10. It’s hard to imagine Young being on the team next year, so I think its highly probable he’s traded during the draft, or at least maybe moving up to the deadline next season for another pick. Right now, positions aren’t exactly importat. We are in asset accumulation mode in the form of young talent with potential. At each pick the major thing Hinkie should look at is, is it likely that this player will be better than any player taken after him over the next 5 years, and can he grow with our team.
Missing out on our 2 major targets will be extremely disappointing, but everyone knew this was going to be a long rebuilding process. There’s going to be good drafts coming up over the next few years, and I’m not so sure it would be wise to give up too much for Wiggins or Parker.

HitsterParticipantIf the sisers are confident that Embiid can make a good recovery then take him, if not just take Exum and push the Embiid conundrum onto Orlando and co. If Orlando had Exum lined up then Sam Hinkie could have Rod Hennigan on the phone maybe offering 4 and 12 or 4 and a very nice asset so the 76ers could come out winners here.
If Embiid does start to fall then we could see other teams suddenly looking to trade up and try to get him as there is only a certain point he can fall to before someone takes a chance on him. Personally I see this about 6th pick.

Neggedpastorif Wiggins and Parker are gone your trade up and try to get the lakers pick and exchange for the 10th
they you sit there and decide who else in the top 8 can give you a kings ransom for the 3rd picka younger player, this years pick and a future pick.
with those 2 picks you have you take 2 players with the 7th and the pick that’s anywhere from 4-8 that you got from trading the 3rd pick. who knows you may still have a chance of getting embiid or randle.
I feel as tho the sixers base everything off of who lands at the third pick and ifs not parker or wiggins we get assets. we don’t draft exum to redundant to mcw and not prove, or voleh with the 3rd pick.
when we could get those players and more if we trade down. it makes the most sense with the 3rd pick. we will be back for 2015 and the nice looking 2015 draft. so get as many assets this year as we can with the 3rd.

burgessfourParticipantParker are gone I say they roll the dice and take Embiid, unless they get a great offer that allows them to move down and still get Randle.

TheLastWordParticipantPhilly is between a rock and a hard place
Even dismissing Embiid medical risks both him and Noel are clear cut centers in todays NBA…I don’t think it makes sense.
Exum would have to play SG…which reduces his value as he now just has average size for his position.
So that leaves the second tier of Vonleh, Smart, Gordon, and Randle. No matter who they choose it feels like they would be "settling" given their epic and historic tank job. Big decisions to be made in Philly.

Bnix13ParticipantThe Sixers will take either Wiggens, Embiid, or Parker. Cleveland decides that for them.
Scenario 1: Cleveland wants to put themselves in a position to sign one (or two) marquee free agents and wants to move back. They like Embiid and know the Bucks won’t be taking him. They take Wiggens and trade for the 3 with the Sixers selecting Embiid. They either take Thad and the 3 or… Cleveland sends Jack and Bennett along with the 1 to the Sixers for the 3 to clear cap space for free agency. It’s a 900k savings between the 1 and the 3 pay scale. By trading Jack and Bennett they will have near 38 million in cap space. This is almost enough for Carmello and Lebron. Playoffs 2015 have the Cavs ideal lineup as Irving – Lebron – Carmello – Thompson – Embiid with Waiters a sixth man.
Scenario 2: Cleveland doesn’t want Embiid, neither do the Bucks. Parker and Wiggens go 1-2 and Embiid goes third and the Sixers keep him. If the Bucks take Exum, Parker becomes a Sixer.
Scenario 3: Cleveland takes Embiid, Parker (or Exum) goes 2, and Wiggens goes 3.
Scenario 4: Sixers do not want Embiid, Wiggens goes 1, Parker 2, and the Sixers move back to 4-6. An interesting trade is 3 and Thad for 4 and 12. Sixers then have more options: take Vonleh at 4, then pick a SG and SF with the 10/12 considering BPA. Sixers fill out their roster, get two way 4 to play with Noel, and are still terrible next year to get a top 5 pick next year and be poised to then sign 1-2 free agents in 2015 free agency.
I think it’s likely Wiggens ends up a Sixer. It just depends if Cleveland wants the 3/10 and Thad which is unlikely they are being offered.

EndlessknightParticipantTake Exum and play him at SG. If not that then trade down and try and pick up a first for next year. Embiid is not worth the risk for the Sixers.
