Lotto StudParticipantPutting things into perspective. James Young’s stock appeared to have maxed out after the NCAA Tournament run heading into the Combine. After his Combine measureables were posted, he was amongst the top topics of discussion. Since then I rarely hear any mentioning of him possibly being selected in that 6-10 range anymore.
What’s going on with Young?

FutureNBAGMParticipantTo be honest, very rarely have I ever seen Young on any mocks in 6-10 range. All I know is, as it is now, I see him going anywhere from late lottery to late teens. Thats just what Ive seen.

imAboutDatActionParticipant^ This.
I dont feel his stock has fallen at all. He’s in the same neighborhood he’s been all year and where i think he belongs.

tidhoParticipantThe Cavaliers won the lottery so I stopped talking about wanting him to go at #9.

Chilbert arenasParticipantI still have him in the lotto and like him much more than Harris and Saric but all these other mocks are making me doubt myself

Captain LParticipantI like him better than Harris but not better than Saric, I think Saric will be a surprise to some. Love his leadership and winning attitude .

Lotto StudParticipantI’m still not putting it past MJ having Young’s name on the card heading to the podium.

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantJust because you don’t hear about a guy doesn’t mean he’s not doing well. Most of the time it means teams don’t want him to rise then they know they have zero chance of getting him. When they want the player to fall they send out false rumors about workouts or health issues etc. predraft is about a lot of misdirection. Think about it, if you are a team and want a certain player or players are you going to tell reporters that that player is underrated or dominating?
if you want to get a player picked higher than projected so the guy you want falls to you to overhype the player and talk about how good he is.

aziatic41ParticipantJames Young is a stud. His upside is tremendous! But I do think him being so young and playing in a wide-open system at Kentucky puts him in the risky-pick category.
