toady_buddhaParticipant3 team trade.
Orlando gets #3, Dion Waiters, Jarrett Jack
Cleveland gets Thad Young, Victor Oladipo, #4 and #10
Philadelphia gets Maurice Harkless and #1 and #12
Potential starting line-ups after:
Orl: Jack, Waiters, Parker, O’Quinn, Vucevic
Cle: Irving, Oladipo, J. Young, T. Young/Thompson, Varejao
Phi: MCW, Wiggins, Harkless, Payne, Noel
Obviously this also sets up Phi and Cle for further wheeling and dealing, too.

Magic JordanParticipantOrlando is giving up a lot in that deal as I believe most people would rather have Oladipo than Waiters. Giving up Oladipo, the 4th, Harkless and the 12th to move up one spot for an inferior shooting guard to the one they already have doesn’t make a lot of sense. If anything they should get the 1st pick considering all they are throwing into that pot.

toady_buddhaParticipantI’m no fan of Waiters, but the comparables would seem to tell a different story. Essentially Waiters is more of a true scoring guard versus Oladipo who is a little more of an all-around/ defensive type. Waiters would get a chance to be a top dog in Orlando assuming they draft/ sign a pass first PG. And Oladipo wouldn’t be as negatively affected playing along side a score first PG like Irving. I actually think Orlando makes out the best initially speaking in all of this. They get a shot at one of the big 3 and get comparable talent for Oladipo and perhaps a better fit in Waiters. With a top 3 scoring options of Waiters, Parker and Vucevic they could be a top flight young team immediately.

druneave3ParticipantI don’t think Parker will be there for them at 3 but why are you giving up Oladipo? Vonleh, Smart, Exum or whoever combined with Oladipo and Vuc plus other young talent should turn out pretty well for them. Harris doesn’t have #1 pick potential like Parker but they are similar players in scoring wing players and combo-forwards when going small, and Harris could potentially be cheaper. Oladipo is special. Wouldn’t want Waiters near my team as well.
Elfrid Payton, Oladipo, Harris, Vonleh, Vuc or Exum/Smart, Oladipo, Harris, Payne, Vuc >>> Jack, Waiters, Parker, O’quinn, Vuc
How is your defense with the Parker/Waiters team as opposed to Payton + Vonleh or Exum/Smart + Payne?

Neggedpastorum funny trade I don’t see that as being bad if the sixers and the bucks gave Cleveland assets and a 3 way deal so the sixers can move up one and the bucks can move up and get the player they want the most. while leaving Cleveland with the third pick. As far as it happening it unlikely and for the magic to get involved no way but with this deal Cleveland can really
get solid.lets say the sixers give the cavs young
and the bucks give the cavs mayo or sanders.
then the cavs take who ever is left at 3.
if im the cavs if I was offered this I would jump on it and a heartbeat.
because you add crazy depth in the front court and you either will get a sf or c with the 3rd pick that’s a real win win.I believe the bucks and the sixers will be willing to do this but its unlikely because everything isn’t perfects somebody would think their getting screwed.
