Lakers should jus go for the ceiling players and either go for zach Levine or Aaron Gordon! Both uber athletic players that have the chance to become great defenders because size and length! With Levine who id go for first u have a potential Russell Westbrook player who at worse is a hybrid of jaryd bayless and Gerald green! With Gordon u have a potential Shawn Marion blake griffin player who worse end turns out to be a poor man Kenneth faried Wesley Johnson type player ! I’ll swing because I think both these guys end up really good ! We need a long fast athletic point in the west and if not then give me a athletic power foward with defense ! If not them take a risk at Julius rAndle if he’s available ! He may fall due to injury he never fixed and if not then I’ll take smart 4th on that list! He should be good but not great I see him peaking at  15-18 ppg 5 dimes and 5 boards but never a all star! What u guys think?

Considering they have only a few guys under contract I would probably just go with BPA. Id love to see Randle land in LA, but it looks like the popular choice so far is Lavine(nothing wrong with that either).

I’ve had Lavine pegged to the Lakers for a while now, I just thought with workouts and hype he’d rise and being a UCLA product with huge star potential they would have to take him. A safe pick won’t do for the Lakers here, upside is the name of the game. I like the Jerryd Bayless/Gerald Green combo comparison

Nah, the 7th pick is more valuable than the 16th and 19th. Who would you want there? Lakers need star power for the future and the 7th pick can provide that in either Lavine, Smart, Randle, or Vonleh. (I like Gordon but I see him as an above average flashy role player, not a star.) At 16 and 19 you’re adding depth to your bench which the Lakers need but not worth the 7 pick. Lakers should try to trade up to get in the top part of 2nd round to try to snag Hariston or Mcgary.

I think if they can’t get Randle at 7th, they should trade down to 10th (Philadelphia) and see if the Sixers will thrown in Thadeus Young. Then, draft Zach Lavine.

I’m good on Thad Young, why take on 2 years at 10 mil for a guy who won’t add any wins?

I would like for the lakers to keep there pick and take; Marcus Smart 1st option, 2nd option Randle, 3rd option Gordon, 4th option LaVine, its a lot harder for a big man to establish himself in the nba. Smart has a more polished game and with Kobe aging and Marcus Smart would compliment him really well because of his defense. He will become a better shooter and a better player being on the same team as kobe and nash. If Byron Scott becomes the Lakers next coach Marcus Smart will thrive tremendously in that situation

That is my exact order and wish list for the Lakers.  I would slide McDermott in the 4th spot and slide Lavine down to 5th though, basically meaning it’s between Smart, Randle and Gordon… I think there is a good chance that Vonleh will be gone, and maybe even Gordon too.

It’s going to be soooo interesting to see what happens I can hardly wait!
