    Next year:

Duncan is going to play less min. but i’d bet as efficiently.

    Leonard should be better.

    Parker should be steady

Is Manu playing internationally this summer? If yes – much worse.

Boris, Splitter, Green, Mills – steady.

Can they steal something in this Draft? Signing someone? What do you guys think, can they get better as a team?

I don’t think they can get better than they were this series.

The key to their success is having all the right pieces and being completely dedicated to team.  If Duncan doesn’t come back obviously they drop off.  If the youth they have outgrows the team concept they drop off.  Their best case, and its a great one,  is standing pat.

They need a stretch four who can shoot the 3 AND rebound.  They also need a backup for Kawhi Leonard.

They need to go out and get a younger version of Shane Battier or Rashard Lewis.

    Yeah, they can get better.

They played outstanding in the finals..But unless they add an impact player,i doubt theyget back to the finals..They had no problem eliminating the 1 man gang in Miami, the 2 man teams in OKC and Portland…But they had to go to a 7th game to defeat the well balanced attacks of Dallas & the Warriors…And in an already competitive west you can be sure those teams have plans to upgrade their rosters…

Writing off the Spurs next year already?  I learned my lesson several years ago.  You NEVER count out the Spurs until they prove that they can’t do it anymore.

Internal improvement from Kawhi, Danny Green, and Patty Mills could be enough, even if Timmy, Tony, and Manu slip a bit.

Splitter is what he is and that should be good enough for next year.

Is Boris Diaw going to be this same guy next year?  He might be a key.  If Mr. Almost Triple Double plays well then the Spurs will still be really hard to stop.  If his play goes down then they will be more vulnerable, since he is the only real "power forward" on the roster (TD is a center-type), and the Spurs lack a true stretch four (and a guy who can play the 3 besides Kawhi Leonard).

I will take Timmy, Tony, Danny, Patty, Kawhi, Manu, Tiago, and Boris over anybody.  They might need a new 9th man to replace Bellinelli (still really solid though) or Matt Bonner (SLOW), but I really like this team.

Other than a stretch four and another young, athletic two-way wing player, this team is set.

They can address at least one of these needs at 30, and maybe even the other one at 58 or 60.

Timmy and Manu may be old, but Tony Parker is basically still in his prime.  Danny and Patty are solid youthful pieces, and Kawhi Leonard is one of the best young players in the game.

Patty mills was very impressive during the finals. He reminds me of a lot of tony Parker I hope they hold on to him. Also they have Austin daye waiting to play who I think still can be a real player in the nba

The spurs will find somebody late in the draft that fits thier system. They know they arent getting a great individual player late in the draft, but a great player that fits in thier system. They will also look at free agents that they will be able to add to their bench. They have proven to get the best out of players who had a few down years such as Diaw. Maybe they can trade up to a mid round pick like the did with Leonard if they feel there is a guy who will mold perfectly in thier system.

This draft has talent into the second round.  A late1st round pick this year is like late lottery most years.  The Spurs can find a good rotation player there.

I can see the Spurs drafting PJ Hairston or Clint Capela, developing them and in two years, being solid rotation players if not better. Hairston would flourish in Pops system, being forced to give max effort or stay in the D-League, and finding space for his jumper all over the court. Capela would learn a ton playing with Splitter and Duncan, or he can stay in Europe and develop further.

But as others have stated, how can they get better? And why would they need to? They were the best team in the NBA virtually the entire season, and just put a beatdown on the two time defending champions.
