Hey all, apologies if this has already been posted but I noticed this while browsing Yahoo and it’s quite possibly one of the worst mocks I’ve seen in a long time.

    sports.yahoo.com/news/dr-nba-mock-draft-063100891–nba.html

Exum is all but an Orlando lock. LaVine at 26 is hilarious. McDaniels is a great fit in Chicago but no way at all he goes at 16. His justification for James Young to Atlanta is nonsensical.  Also, personally don’t think the Kings would be smart enough to take Saric, or that a team will risk a 1st round guaranteed contract on McGary.

This is all in addition to the intial verious of the page listing James Young as attending Michigan State, and spelling LaVine "LeVine".

    Is Yahoo always this terrible??

just out of curiousty, i did a quick search of mocks from major sites, yahoo, cbs and espn all do not have exum going to the magic at 4 and think he falls a few spots. Not saying i agree, but maybe it isnt quite the lock some think.

add draftexpress as another major draft site that does not have exum at 4.

The ONLY thing that is cringe worthy about this mock is Lavine.

I actually agree the Magic should go Vonleh or Randle at 4 and then should look at a PG at 12. Ennis is the pure point guard and Smart could realistically slide if the Lakers don’t pick him and if the Kings decide Thomas is their PG.

I agree that McDaniels is a reach at 16 but to me this is pick is less ridculous than this site saying Jordan Clarkson. McDaniels is at least a guy I could see Thibs wanting.

I actually like the James Young pick I just don’t think he’ll slide that far. Young could match the athleticism of Teague and could still shoot the 3 in an Atlanta offense that thrives on threes.

I actually think the Saric spot makes a lot of sense since the Kings are not ready to start winning for real yet but could be really nice in 2-3 years.

The only pick I don’t like other than Lavine sliding the is Hornets pick and McGary.

I have seen a lot worse. ESPN has some of the worst mocks you could imagine and I saw Bleacher Report thinking Patric Young would go around 24….

I also don’t like two bigs (Vonleh then Nurkic) going to the Magic with their two lotto picks. Doesn’t make any sense.

I agree that Orlando takes Smart at 4.  Why all the thumbs down?  Smart is a safer pick then Exum and has an upside that is just a little lower.  He can play and defend both guard spots.

I don’t think smarts upside is "just a little lower".  Exums upside is extremely high.  Personally I don’t worry about it.. I’m a 76ers fan.. we have mcw… Frankly I haven’t been going all out scouting point guards but what I can say is that upside is everything in a draft.

Without big time difference makers you can’t win an nba championship.  So you roll the dice on a guy.  If he hits you got a shot at an nba championship..if not you can trade him and stay in the lottery race.  Sucks but this is how it works.. you need some luck.  What good is it taking a "safe pick"  that projects as a guy that will A. Help keep me out of the top of the lottery draft.  B. Help me make the playoffs but not good enough to be a serious contender.

It’s called limbo and it sucks..trust me I’m a sixers fan.  You don’t want to be in limbo in this league.. you can be stuck there for an eternity in this league if you don’t get the right amount of luck.

I really want Vonleh for the Magic so this one is good for me. I hate the idea of Exum personally. If you want to go PG there then they should go Smart. PG is a deeper position though and the Magic desperately need a rim protector next to Vuc. Don’t like the Nurkic pick though…Magic actually have one of the better backup centers in Kyle O’Quinn.

As a hawks fan James Young and Zach Lavine are my top 2 favorites for Hawks at 15..not sure why that’s nonsensical.

And you have the Hawks taking a PG in your mock??? That is nonsensical with Jeff Teague and last years first round pick Dennis Schroder who has a lot of potential.

Uhm.. wait.. This is the worst you’ve seen?  I can totally see things going down like this so.. maybe I’m just growing crazy too.. I thought that was a very solid mock draft.  And what are you an Orlando fan?  Exum a lock in orlando?  Not necessarily bud.  Not at all.
