I might just be high and fantasizing trades in my head but what if Carmelo decided to go back and play in Denver where he made it 2 conference finals. New York and Denver can do a sign and trade of Wilson chandler, Gallinari, 11th pick for Carmelo. It would basically be a re do of the trade ny made to get Carmelo in the first place and both teams were more competitive before the trade.

New York can go back to their spread offense with more spacing and shooting without the ball sticking in melo’s hands ever play.

Denver gets the guy they drafted and the fans welcome back and embrace him more than any other fan base would and they compete for championships with a good young core and a very good up and coming head coach.

Ny lineup: 11th pick Payton, Sbumpert,Wilson Chandler, Gallinari, Tyson chandler. With fishers coaching and a strong bench I think they make the playoffs in the weak Eastern conference.

Denver lineup: Lawson, Foye,Melo,Faried,Hickson. Team can grow with the coach into a title contender.

I don’t know why Denver would embrace him coming back when he cried his way out of there.

They made one conference finals, not two. And no that line-up cannot grow into a title contender. And Hickson coming off ACL surgery.
