What would it take from the thunder to trade for Pau Gasol? I believe they are one post player/3rd scorer away from winning the championship and Pau might be traded for the right price. Would Reggie Jackson, Perry jones, and Perkins be enough to get Gasol? Should the thunder offer such a trade? Reggie Jackson’s value is pretty high right now and he’ll probably sign a contract to start somewhere when his rookie deal is up.

Thunder lineup: Westbrook, Lamb, KD, Ibaka, Gasol.

Lakers lineup:  Jackson, Kobe, Young, Randle/Vonleh, Hill/Perkins

The lakers can also make a play in FA for Carmelo or Deng to fill the SF gap and allow swaggy p nick young to play as the 6th man.

You mean "sign and trade" right? Pau is a free agent.

I mean in a sign and trade. The thunder can sign Gasol to a 3 or 4 year deal worth 10 million a year and by trading Perkins, Jackson, and jones and also letting Caron butler walk in FA, the thunder would then have enough cap space for Gasol

that’s too expensive for this version of Pau Gasol.   Replace Jackson with Lamb and take Perkins off the deal and I’d do that if I were the Lakers.  Wouldn’t take Perkins and his contract on for any length of time.

Dont forget that, last I checked, Perkins is one of only two players left in the league who can still be amnestied(Carlos Boozer being the 2nd). Might be wise to amnesty him first to help avoid any luxury tax issues that may come up in trying to get Pau. Again, just a thought.

They would amnesty Perkins and make a play for Carmelo

Even though it would be smart to amnesty Perkins, Presti as already said that he is not going to amnesty him this offseason

They don’t have to amnesty him. In this scenario he’s being traded to the lakers for Pau. The lakers get Reggie Jackson, PJIII and Perkins who they can then amnesty.

Only the Thunder can amnesty Perkins. Has to be the team that he signed the contract with.
