gforce03ParticipantCan anyone give me an update on him? He played with guys like Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon, Julius Randle and Noah Vonleh in 2013 Nike Hoop Summit. I understand that he was born in 1993 which makes him a year older than Marcus Smart. Did he not declare for the draft? is it an age problem that makes him much less appealing than other prospects?
Thanks in advance!

imAboutDatActionParticipantNo, he didnt declare for the draft. He returned for his sophmore season.
Age is abit concerning but its not gonna have major effects on his stock for next season. If he has a down year and returns for a junior season, then the age will become a real issue.
He has good vision for a PG. With being the starter next year, he can positon himself to be a 1st round pick.

Chilbert arenasParticipantNot a great athlete nor great size. Doesn’t project to be a starting PG at the next level, at this point at least. Play behind Scotty we didn’t get to see much from him. This should be a big year for him.

For_Never_EverParticipantHe was over hyped coming into college. I need to see him in a starting role before giving an opinion on his game. One thing though he is smaller then I thought he would be when seeing him with college athletes. He doesn’t look like he is above 6’0ft without shoes.

HaleParticipantHad he come out he probably would’ve gone mid-late second. He’s old for his class and wasn’t very productive even considering his situation. To be honest he just isn’t a very good prospect in general. He’s a great athlete but he’s pretty thin and weak. He’s not a shooter by any means. Not a finisher. He has a shown a nice foundation of skills for running a team but he needs to show more. He’s exciting to watch but he’s mediocre at more things then he’s good at (at this point) and for a guy who’s older than you’d expect that’s not what you want to see.

Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantI’m a little higher on Kasey Hill than most in which I feel like he has a little Chris Paul to his game. NO I AM NOT COMPARING HIM TO CHRIS PAUL. I’m just saying some parts of his game are similar. Someone said he wasn’t a great athlete and that’s far from the truth. Billy Donovan and his teammates praised him for his ability to come in the game and use his speed and quickness to break down the defense and create for his teammates, and also to get steals on defense. We also all remember his high school mixtapes where his head would be level with the rim on dunks and he’d go and get chase down blocks. The kid is an athlete. He’s a good passer, which I think he’ll be even better this year after another year with Coach Donovan and being a starter. He’s a good ball handler, I think sometimes he can be too flashy in his dribbling and passing though which can happen with young players. Biggest problem right now is his shot. The other things are ones that can be fixed that a ton of young point guards go through. He has a great base to start from though.
I don’t know how tall he is w/o shoes but he’s always 6’1 with them, and he had a 6’5" wingspan all of 2012, and then he shrunk and had a 6’4 wingspan in 2013. Either way he has good arm length in relation to his size. Chris Paul had a 6’4.25 wingspan when he came out at 6’1, 178 at 20 years old, so the measurements are pretty similar, Florida lists Hill at 6’1, 181.
I think he’ll have a good year, running the point with running mates like Chris Walker and sharpshooter Michael Frazier. In SEC play last year, he was top 10 in steals and assists and he was number 4 in assist to turnover ratio. He can possibly work his way into the late lottery but I think he’ll settle somewhere in the late teens/early twenties. I think his sophmore year and his draft stock and draft position will resemble Rajon Rondo’s, about 11 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals.

Cardinal_FanParticipantSeems pretty athletic to me….i just dont think he understands the nuances of that position yet and still is a little raw as PG….also his perimeter shot needs work, but imma fan of Kasey Hill. Hopefully that year under Scotty Wilbekin helped him out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OO4cY0LZfB8
