AwrightAwrightAwrightParticipantIf Cleveland can sign Lebron again, what will they do with their #1 pick ? I think they will do one of two things:
1. Keep it and take Embiid for themselves, or
2. Trade it away and get Kevin Love.
Thoughts ?

thetrademachineryParticipantwhat will make me happy is somehow Melo sign with Cavs make them champions defeating Miami in the Conference finals and making his own legacy.
1 – Make a team champion who Lebron couldnt ever
2- Defeat Lebron in a matchup
That would give me a smiling face.
For this
Swap Melo, Shumpert, Chandler for Deng Hawes Jack Bennett #1 in a complicated sign and trade.
that would make both teams a lot better.

nick5354ParticipantIf Heat lose to the Spurs, I can see Lebron leaving Heat. No way on earth does he pass up on getting a 4 peat if they win however, and deff does not look elsewhere.
If Heat lose I can see him leaving to come back to Cavs. This Heat team is getting OLD. D-Wade scares me to be honest. He will be 33-34 next year and it is a big IF that his body could hold up to another season of being a 2nd option and dropping 18-20 a game, his body terrifies me. Further more, you have Anderson 36, Battier 36, Haslem 35, Jones 34, Lewis 36, Allen 39, Bosh 31, Wade 33. Although when you want to win now, you don’t want a whole bunch of kids, but you do need youth coming through to help out these older players so they can maximise their production, just look at the spurs solid younger group.
So, if the Heat don’t win, I think James would know Cavs offer a much brighter future. I mean, imagine Waiters, Kyrie, Embid, Bennett, Lebron fast break. I have no doubt Cavs offer a better chance to win another championship than the Heat.
Lebron took that terrible terrible 2007 Cleveland to the finals, imagine what he could do with great young players such as Kyrie, Waiters, Embid, Bennett (give this kid a chance everyone), Thompson. As well as Vets like Wildthing and Jack. Furthermore, younger players like Karasev and Zeller could surprise.
However, as a Cavs fan I HOPE HE DOES NOT COME BACK. This is not like an angry thing or being still upset about the whole decision thing. I just have seen this team grow and these young players come through that it would be so great to have them be the one’s to take this team to a Championship and build their own legacy.

FutureNBAGMParticipantNot happening. Might as well start trying to entice Deng to re-sign(although Im not sure that’ll happen either).

t-loveParticipantFree agency is after the draft. If they can sign Lebron theyll have already picked someone or traded it away. They should pick whoever improves the team most, not whoever fits with Lebron, because its way more likely you don’t get him than you do.

JCliff24ParticipantWho exactly is going to play defense? Kyrie? Melo? Oh and if he resigns, lets lets not forget how intimidating Spencer Hawes is down low for other big men
