He was slotted as a high to mid 2nd round pick after the season.  Where do you guys think he’ll go?  Can he have an NBA career as a role player?

that you like about him?  When I went to start writing and I pulled up his stats, I was expecting to see better shooting numbers.  I like his form and remember him being a better shooter than his numbers suggest.

He reminds me a little of Amir Johnson with less defense. A high energy hybrid forward with pretty good potential. I think he can make it long term in the L but he has to keep working hard.

Cory’s stock took a bit of a dip because he really didn’t improve much his senior season. After a huge jump in production between his sophomore and junior years, there was some hope he’d make another leap this season.

He didn’t, but what he brings to the table is an NBA caliber athlete, who’s all hustle, and a guy who can be an oop target, and is mobile enough to switch out on perimeter bigs. He’s pretty solid on the offensive glass, and he tallied 59 put backs on the year off a very impressive 2.8 offensive rebounds per game in just a shade under 30 minutes per.

You’d wish he was a tad heavier, to guard the post because his 8’9” standing reach and 7′ wingspan are good measurements, as was a very impressive 37.5” max vert, but he’s pretty light, and although wirey, he could stand to add some bulk.

I think Cory is a 50- undrafted guy with a fair chance of sticking on a roster. He doesn’t need the ball to contribute, so that will help his cause, but I feel he lacks that one go to translatable skill. He’s a little too raw on offense, and a little too light for an NBA PF, who doesn’t have the range or handle to stretch the D. Some coaches love hustle guys, so he has a chance. For him it will just be a matter of find the right franchise, if he doesn’t he’ll have a hell of a career overseas.
