0pu1ck7ParticipantTrade
Cleveland: MKG, Gary Neal, Brendan Haywood <-for-> Dion Waiters, 33rd pick
Charlotte: Eric Gordon, Ryan Anderson, 13th pick <-for-> 9th pick, MKG, 24th, Gary Neal, Brendan Haywood, CHA 2015 1st
New Orleans: Nikola Pekovic, Kevin Martin <-for-> Eric Gordon, Ryan Anderson
Minnesota: Dion Waiters, 9th pick, 24th pick, 33rd pick, CHA 2015 1st <-for-> Nikola Pekovic, Kevin Martin, 13th pick
Why
Cleveland: Its more of a lateral move shifting Cleveland’s need at SF to SG. Honestly I decided to make an MKG to Cleveland trade b/c of Mark Price’s interview. Haywood would also provide a veteran presence to help mentor Embiid and Zeller
Charlotte: Adds potent floor spacing to the starting lineup. (IMO if they can lure Luol Deng in a back loaded contract then they just might make it to the ECF in the next 2-3 years.)
New Orleans: Get to move on from Gordon and a add a good C allowing them to move Davis to PF. Lose their two best floor spacers, but Martin will be solid for them in that department. (IMO if they could somehow sign Parsons or even Ariza they would be a major factor in the west)
Minnesota: Stockpiles picks and adds a young quality SG. It will also free up plenty of cap space.
Thoughts?

kngojcParticipantMinnesota is giving up a ton for a ball dominant shooting guard and a bunch of inexperience. I get where you’re coming from there with having them stockpile assets with Kevin Love leaving and all, but they’d want a little bit more substance and experience for those two players.

mrhancocParticipantthe only prob i see with your trades is that the hornets are not giving up MKG or any future 1st rd pick for those guys….so no this trade is not gonna work, i can see biyombo and henderson in that trade

tidhoParticipantIf I’m running the Cavaliers there is no way I trade Waiters for MKG.
Plus, they’dbe giving up th pick most likely used to fill the SG hole you created.
Plus, Haywood just gets in the way if we draft Embiid and Andy is already in place to mentor.
Plus, Neal is completely redundent with Jack, who’s aleady redundent with Kyrie.0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/11/2014 - 4:32am #917218
