He’s the perfect center for OKC. I had a feeling when they got him in the draft that he would be a good fit down the road but had no idea it would happen so fast.

 Some people were clamoring for Olynyk instead of Adams after the draft.  Adams has the upside to be an absolute monster on the defensive end, and I think they made the right pick.

He also plays within himself. You never see him trying to do too much or take bad shots.

You get the feel Adams fits OKC perfectly. He’s never going to have a consistent offensive game, but will give you defense and rebounding it looks like, maybe Adams will take over for Perkins next year. The core 4 of Westbrook, Durant Ibaka, and Adams looks nice right now, imagine if they could have only gotten anything out of J Lamb these last two years.

I can’t help but liken him to DeAndre Jordan except with a better mid-range and free throw game. Well that is his ceiling and to me that is very good.

He reminds me of Andrew Bogut.  A little smaller, but I think he could develop into that type of player.  Will probably never be the playmaker, but he is a decent passer.

 He does everything Perkins does and more. All those years playing rugby have made him just as tough as Perk is and he has tonnes more mobility. Given, neither of them have much offense, but Adams can at least dunk the ball, Perk can hardly get off the ground.

 Probably never much of a scoring threat but a solid defender and board grabber.  Never hurts to have that wrapped up into a 7 footer – still learninig how to play.  Great value pick ny OKC

 Adams already shows the makings of decent touch and footwork, I don’t think he’ll be a strictly defensive player. I think Durant would have to be nuts to go to another team when he has young pieces like Adams and Lamb who can play the Parker to his Duncan as he ages.

The Thunder are well set up for a decade of dominance if they can keep their core together the way San Antonio did.

Also, I’m surprised nobody else noticed how well Lamb played in his minutes in this game.

He was a big part of the Thunder’s great second-quarter with his energy and ability to be a threat.

I’m glad Thabo finally got sat, he’s never been the same since his injury defensively or offensively, so there’s really no reason to play him over a guy like Lamb.

I want more minutes for Lamb, less for Fisher, but let’s see if Brooks gives him another chance in the series.

People saying "if we could get something out of Lamb" need to remember that he was doing fine this season until Caron Butler started taking his minutes because Brooks just loves his past-their-prime vets.

He was intriguing right away, but improved throughout the year and looked like the best player on his team by the NCAA tournament. I’m not surprised he’s doing so well, he had the size, mobility and strength to do dirty work right away. He’s really got a nice foundation set as far as his shot is concerned. IMO his shot just needs reps.

He’s going to be a defender/rim protecter, and I doubt he’ll ever be a focal point in an offense, but I suspect he’ll be a 65-70% free throw shooter in his prime too, which is huge for a defensive C.

There’s no telling how great Steven can get. He’s only played 4 years of basketball and he worked out with Brook Lopez, Andrew Bogut, and even Tim Duncan going into the season. I want Shaq to get his hands on him, paired with Serge supposedly working out with The Dream this off season! A Thunder fan can dream haha!!
