qDizzle32ParticipantDon’t be surprised if his player rights get traded on Draft Day. It seems unlikely that the Pelicans would want to keep his rights after the way they treated him last year by not calling him up after his phenomenal performance in the D-League this year and after not trading his rights after him and his agent begged the Pelicans to do so. Even though he was expected to get called up after the season ending injury of Jrue Holiday, the Pelicans surpringly decided to stick with Brian Roberts and Austin Rivers. Due to the small amount of salary distributed to the D-League players, Jackson left the D-League to sign with Fenterbache. Since he was a 2nd round pick, it would be a good contract (a la Chandler Parsons) not even having to pay a million for a starter/rotation player. With his unbelievable statistics he put up in the D-League which is a higher level of competition than the SEC or Big Ten, he has showed promise to at least be a solid rotation player at the NBA level and a team would save a good amount of salary by trading a late 1st rounder for Jackson’s contract. Whether he could start or be a backup PG with the large amount of talented PG’s these days, which team should offer a trade to get Jackson’s good contract?

Chilbert arenasParticipantIt was such a shame he didn’t get a chance to play with the big boys. He clearly deserved it. Hope he can find himself with another organization next season.

drice4life1753ParticipantI think Pierre Jackson could defintely be a back-up PG w/ his bigest asset being able to instantly change the pac of the game, and a talented scorer. Height scares off teams, but obviously he did enough this year where he would have been claimed by a team if the Pelicans didn’t still have his draft rights. But with that being said the D-League is notorious for boosting stats because of the lower level of competition. It is different than college and considering the age of some of the players in the d-league and that most players who have fully developed. The talent level is not necesarrily better, but more experienced player.

PhogifyParticipantPelicans also need to start Jeff Withey. He was 6th in the league in defensive field goal percentage at the rim in the whole league. I think he’ll turn out to be a steal.

benny15Participanti’ll admit i havent seen much d league action this past season and dont know how pierre’s game has translated since college outside from reviewing stats. but im just wondering for those who have seen him on how he would compare to a 1st round point guard such as Shabazz Napier in this draft?
jackson’s a month younger and posted simillar college stats in his last year in baylor compared to the one napier had this season. biggest difference would be that UCONN won the big dance and baylor dint get in last year. but stats alone, PPG, APG, SPG as well as FG% and 3FG% are all close to each other.

TenSecondTomParticipantI think that Philly or Phoenix could be good spots for him considering they have a ton of draft picks. Philly could easily ship a second rounder or two for him and I’m sure they’d be able to give him minutes with their lack of depth. Also Ish Smith is a free agent for Phoenix so if they don’t feel like he’s worth the money he’s going to command Jackson would be an intriguing player to plug in to that system. He’s a great player and I’m sure he will make some team happy, but he might prefer to be a featured player over in Europe instead.

natevalParticipantI would like to see Pierre on the Celtics. I think Rondo will be moved on draft day, depending on where they select they could chosse Smart or Exum. Jackson could earn time off the bench or push Exum or Smart to SG
