I share with NBAdraft.net users that Sterling is banned for life and fined 2.5 mil… And then another poster (presumably a mod) reports the same a couple minutes later and I get my post deleted? That’s comical. Is that what NBAdraft is about? Get your points buddy.

I also expressed my opinion that I hope the team moves to Seattle. I know that isn’t why it got deleted. With all the crap that gets posted on here, you have the nerve to

delete me sharing the ban with everyone right as it happened? This forum has gone to $hit.

Seattle needs its Sonics back.  The fans can BOYCOTT the Clippers all day long — since they will now be the Seattle SuperSonics led by Blake, Chris Paul, and DeAndre Jordan.

I think the NBA franchisees would make that move.

Then retire the name ‘Clippers’.  That whole franchise has been a joke going back to Buffalo (Braves).

Am I alone in thinking the NBA is over reaching  here?  I know people will be quick to call racist on me for saying that but I believe they are over reaching.  "If you’re a free man and you choose to work for a slave owner, than you are a slave.  You are part of the problem, not part of the solution." These guys voluntarily chose to work for a racist bigot.  Chris Paul wanted the max money, so he stayed.  Doc Rivers wanted to go there and work for him(He claims he didn’t know he was racist… please.) Now they want to cry foul play for something this guy said in the privacy of his own home.  He said he didn’t want black people going to his game… guess what, black people were still going to the game tonight.

The opportunity was there for the PLAYERS and the FANS (Black and White and Green and Blue) to make a stand, but in this day and age everybody cried unfair and foul play and point fingers when they aren’t themselves willing to do anything about it.  It’s all good to make it a big deal, as long as the players don’t have to give up their money, or miss their games.  This sets a bad precedent for society.  Stephen A Smith is quoted as saying "The sanctions are what black people wanted".  That mentallity right there is the reason racisim will never go away.  It’s what EVERYBODY wanted…. Except those that believe firmly in the consitituion.  There is still a us vs them mentallity and we are ever going to advance as a society that is what needs to change, from all races, and all walks of life.

How about we vote to boot Clay Bennet, the owner of the Thunder for commiting robery and stealing a franchise from Seattle?  Or wasting away Durants prime years by refusing to be a tax paying team?  What about the Bucks?  Let’s out that owner, he hasn’t produced a winner in years.

I just believe this sets a bad precedent not only for the NBA, but for society in general.  Where the bill of rights means nothing, there still maintains a us vs them mentallity and a person isn’t even allowed to express his ignorant feelings in the confinement of his own home.  All I am hearing on TV is about how black people should be ecstatic.  Why can’t I be ecstatic too?

Let the negs rain down unfotunately…. because god forbid somebody have an opinion that doesn’t line up with yours.

Silver is not overreacting when you consider the potential backlash if he doesn’t come down hard. The very last thing he wants is for the public to start thinking all these rich, white male, owners share the same views. It comes down to the money and no owner wants that black eye on the league.

Two days ago Sterling came out and said the voice on the tape did not represent his views. Instead of running with that, the media buried it.

The holocaust guilt tripping will resume shortly as this is swept under the rug and the Clippers are sold to the Guggenheim Partners with a black mascot named Magic.

The same media that buried Sterling’s response that he is not racist will trumpet Silver as a great man of principle who embodies superior Jewish Values.

I agree with you but I’m not so sure the NBAdraft community is as socially aware or religiously and politically inclined as you or I. I think its safe to say wrong crowd Lol.

I can agree with this. I just hate to see the players and coaches viewed as the victim here.  They don’t mind cashing their checks from him still.  Chris Paul chose to take the most money from A bigot. Doc Rivers forced his way, he went out of his way to be employed by a bigot, Blake Griffin. Jamal Crawford, Barnes. The list goes on.  Everybody in and out of the NBA knows what Sterling is… They chose to ignore it And not take a proactive approach. Instead crying until someone else did it for them.

Go Supes!  Would love to bring Lob City back to where it all orginated w/ the glove and Kemp.  Not to mention Desmond Mason throws downs back in the day too.

A new Sonics team with Blake, CP3, and DeAndre Jordan would be great.

I’m also pro Clippers relocating to Seattle and bringing hoops back to the fans there.  I’ve always been against two LA teams playing against each other.  Seems kinda weird if you’re an LA fan to be rooting against…..errr…..your home team ?

If the Clips moved to Seattle that would create 3 really good rivalries.  With the old rival Lakers, with the Thunder (former Seattle team), and also resurrect the Pacific Northwest rivalry with the Portland Trailblazers.

Yes !  Please bring back the great ol days when Shawn Kemp & The Glove took on Clyde the Glide & Terry Porter, who also took on Magic & Worthy, who in turn took on The Mailman & Stockton, and they all had to contend with the multi talented Suns team of KJ, Chambers, Majerle, & Hornacek……the last great golden era of West Coast basketball.   (Although I’ve been a Sixers fan all my life since the 70’s…..still gotta give the west their props, you know).
