How important is a sweep to Miami in regards to getting some extra rest?

I don’t love the Heat but I anticipate a healthy & rested roster (particularly D-Wade) to beat the winner of the BKN/CHI series quite easily, thus giving them a chance to rest again.

Heat-Bashing aside, does the extra rest make a big difference to them getting through the East?

its important for the whole roster. extra rest days can never hurt an ageing group.

they’re going to sweep the bobcats pretty easily.

Being a Heat fan since the late Hardaway days and now them officially being "my team" since the Sonics were stolen from us (yes still bitter, and you would be too), I can safely say that rest will be enormous for this team.

In my opinion the most important factor like last year will be strong bench play, and someone either than Ray Allen to consistently knock down 3’s, such as James Jones.  Honesty Ray hitting his 3’s is important, but not as important as another player stepping up, b/c Ray’s body of work makes him impossible to leave open.  O ya, and Dwyane Wade falling in love w/ his 180 turn around mid-range jumper is the scariest sight to Heat fans everywhere….so that is also vital to avoid.

And yes, being a huge sonics fan and going to the Heat has been advantageous in multiple ways…NOT including the championships.  Signing Bosh, and LBJ was exciting when it happened, but MOST IMPORTANTLY…the signing of Ray Allen, and Rashard Lewis. All we need is to scoop up Luke Ridnour, Nick Collison, and Reggie Evans and we can play some 206 ball in Miami!
