Kokayne_DawkinzParticipantDoes the Harrison returning combined with WCS, Poytress, Lee, and Johnson all returning make UK the preseason number one team? I think it does the incoming class is going to give the front court devastating depth and now UK will even have an backup point gaurd who’s pass first who could get into the lane in Ullis. UK will also have more shooters since their bigs can now space the floor better. I’m not saying they will go undefeated but they have to be the early favorites to win it all.

qDizzle32ParticipantThat’s still 8 former 8 MDAAs on their roster with WCS who was good enough to be one. Not sure how it’s going to work out in the frontcourt with WCS, Towns, Lyles, Dakari and Lee but maybe he’ll rotate who starts. Then they will have Alex Poythress and the Twins starting with Booker and Ulis also coming off the bench with the other big men. Can’t wait to watch them some more next season.

Chilbert arenasParticipantWith Poythress starting they will really lack spacing unless he puts in work this summer. But at the same time Arizona was starting Gordon, Ashley, and Tarczewski for the first half the year. Ulis and Booker will be essential off the bench. Who starts at the 4 and 5? Correct me if I’m wrong but I see WCS, Towns, Lyles, and Dakari all as 5s.

USABasketballParticipantI think Lyles is a 4 and having Karl Towns on the court will give them some spacing he does alot of damage from the outside

juves4783Participanti think wcs, towns and dakari are all legit 5s. i think lyles is more of a 4. poythress and harrison twins are all going to be working on their jumpers this offseason if they want to improve their draft stock.
booker and ulis off the bench is going to be interesting. don’t sleep on derek willis either. he’s 6-9 and can shoot. calipari has to be loving this turn of events. he may have put a stop gate in the one and done or maybe his whole team will declare after the season…

MopgrassParticipantIf Poythress starts hitting from 3, his stock would certainly go up.

imAboutDatActionParticipantof course. the guy is an athletic freak with great size for the 3. its just he hasnt shown perimeter skills. if he develops a 3 point shot, he’d be a lock for the 1st round.

Memphis MadnessParticipantIf Ullis is the a pass-first guy who can run the offense, I would put him and Andrew Harrison in the backcourt. Copy the Napier-Boatright two point guard lineup, as well as the Louisville Siva and Russ Smith team. Aaron Harrison at the 3 with WCS manning the middle. I like what Poythress brings in terms of athleticism, so I would start him at the 4. He is also somewhat versatile so he could develop into a stretch four. Expand his game so they can go with some ultra-big lineups of Poythress, Marcus Lee, and Dakari/Towns with Poythress anchoring the second unit.
This loaded Kentucky team could give the Anthony Davis, MKG, Teague, Terrance Jones team a run for its money.

unless they get a terrible ref!
They have 6 other bigs: WCS and Dakari as C only, Towns is a PF/C can stretch the defense, Lyle is a PF mainly, and Willis is a 6-9 SF/PF.
Lineup will most likely be:
PG Andrew, Ty Ulis, Hawkins
SG Aaron, Booker, Floreal
SF Poythress, Lyle*, Booker*, Willis, Floreal*
PF KAT(Tonwns), Lyle, Willis*
C Dakari, WCS, KAT*And they still have one scholarship open, because Floreal’s dad is the trach coach he is a alumni walk-on free tuition.

TyroberParticipantI think they’ll definitely be the preseason #1. The team is stacked from top to bottom.

TarHeelRavenParticipantThe beat rolls on for Kentucky. I absolutely despise calipari, but what he is doing in college baskeball is unprecedented. That front line is going to be ridiculous. The amount of bodies cal can rotate in an out is amazing and here is no doubt that Kentucky will be the number one rebounding team in the country. As a UNC fan I’m really looking forward to that game in Lexington next year. Both teams are stacked and Should have a chance to cut down the nets next year. For us to even be competitive on the glass in that game, Joel James has to improve by leaps and bounds over the summer. He’s a big body that can bang with the Kentucky bigs but needs to get in better condition and work on his offense for him to be a factor. That gme should be great.
