drk3351ParticipantOk guys, lets take a survey for who you think SHOULD win all the major awards this year, their are a few really tight races. My ballot is:
MVP: Kevin Durant
Coach of the Year: Gregg Popovich
Defensive Player of the Year: Joakim Noah

6th Man of the Year: Taj Gibson
Most Improved: Goran Dragic

Moon RiverParticipantWith one exception. No one has done more with less than Coach Thibs in Chicago. I do agree it is him and Pop though.

Memphis MadnessParticipantMVP: Kevin Durant
Coach of the Year: The Bobcats coach. Whoever that is…
DPOY: Joakim Noah
Rookie of the Year: MCW
6th man of the year: I guess I will go with Taj Gibson too.
Most Improved: Gerald Green
Executive of the Year: The guy who put the Suns together! Great job. Great hiring of Jeff Hornacek. You also ripped off Larry Legend, sending him Luis Scola for Gerald Green and Miles Plumlee. The Suns are back on the upswing and they also have a TON of draft picks. Great job reloading!
No opinion on the J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award

OhCanada-ParticipantThe reason why I put Taj as the winner for 6th man is because he won games on the defenaive end for Chicago. Butler did this as well this year along with Noah but Im not sure that Morris did the same for Phoenix. Taj Gibsons year is much more then a decent stat line off the bench his energy off that bench was huge foe Chicago.

i’m jus so offendedParticipantIf Jeff Hornacek doesn’t win Coach of the Year, something is wrong. Suns were assured a top 3 pick as the season started but he, Dragic, Plumlee and his plethora of shooters pushed to within a couple wins of a playoff berth. NO ONE in their right mind predicted that to begin the year. It is no coincidence almost every player on that roster had a career year.

OhCanada-ParticipantYour probally right but I dont think a coach outside of the playoffs will get this award. The circumstances Phoenix face obviously warrants due consideration although Thibs deserves it in my opinion. After losing Rose a second time when he was supposed to lead the team this year he griuped hhe team together midway through the year to have a great run and finish as a threat going forward for any team in the league come playoff time. They could have folded and tanked but Thibs kept the ship sailing and he is an amazing coach for doing so.

B-ball fanParticipantMVP: Kevin Durant – Very tight, but KD gets the edge.
COY: Tom Thibodeau – Bulls continually overachieve. Great season despite roster turnover. Hornacek or Popovich would also be deserving.
DPOY: Joakim Noah
ROY: Michael Carter-Williams – Just edges Oladipo, although I think Oladipo will be better in the long run.
6th Man: Taj Gibson – Jamal Crawford and Markieff Morris are also be deserving candidates.
MIP: Anthony Davis – Most competitive category. So many deserving candidates, but AD improved the most, even if his jump wasn’t as surprising as some.

Mr. HookShotParticipantMVP: Kevin Durant (no explanation needed)
Coach of the Year: Gregg Popovich (what he does every year is incredible: this year he even did better, coaching his team to the best record, keeping his team healthy, and integrating important new parts (Belinelli, Mills) into the team)
Defensive Player of the Year: Noah (no explanation needed)
Rookie of the Year: Plumlee (yes, he contributed to a play-off team quite significantly, compared to imho empty stat stuffers like MCW and Oladipo).
6th Man of the Year: Taj Gibson (providing value both on the offensive side (which other reserves might also provide, like Crawford), but also has a very large impact on defense).
MIP: Dragic (took his game to best-PG-in-the-country-territory, upping his scoring, assists and %s, while almost guiding Phx to a play-off berth. I also want to give a HM to G.Green, who finally turned into a basketball-player instead of just being an athlete).

JoeWolf1MVP: Kevin Durant – had a truly fantastic season with and without his #2 Russ Westbrook
Coach of the Year: Doc Rivers – The Clippers just won their 57th game, a franchise record for a club once thought of as doomed. I feel his influence on the club, and Blake Griffin, especially when CP3 was out was unparalled this year.
Defensive Player of the Year: Joakim Noah – Noah raised his game to another level this year, and Noah was easily the best defensive floor leader in the league this year, and is the best post P & R defender in the league, IMO.
ROY: MCW – The 6ers blow, who cares, MCW had a great year and deserves props despite a bad team record.
6th Man of the Year: Markieff Morris – Gibson, and Crawford can make a case too, but Morris is a bit of a fan pick on my part. 13.8 p/6 r/1.8 a/ .9s/ .6 b in only 26.6 mpg and probably the most well rounded when compared to the offensive minded Crawford, and the defensive minded Gibson.
MIP: AD – I know sophomores typically improve quite a bit, but I don’t think anyone expected Davis to reach the 20/10 level in his second year. Not to mention he lead the league in blocks per game.

r377ParticipantDragic was good last year. If anyone kept an eye on him or owned him in a fantasy team knew he put up 16ppg and 9.5ass after the all star break last season.
Not saying they deserve to win but no one has mentioned:
MIP Lance Stephenson, Andre Drummond or even Blake Griffin. Check out their stats. Not to mention Blake did great when cp3 went down injured, leading the Clippers to their best ever season.
6th man Rodney Stuckey
