Teams that cant make Playoffs

Learning to win now even though you can’t make the postseason seems more important than improving your 10th overall pick for the ninth.  The T’wolves beat the Spurs tonight.

 All teams almost go into the same mode when they have positions secured:-

Lottery teams look to tank as much as possible, give the young talent as much playing time as possible.

Teams secure in the play off will push for best seeding but have one eye on resting their big guns for play off run especially in last few games.

Late Lottery teams as identified by Chrisinoz have nothing to play for so may rest best players to try and improve lottery chances slightly.

So we often see some strange line ups for the last few games of regular season.
