DeAndre Kane – the toughest customer around

 I really like him. The guys just competes and gets it done. Reminds me of like a John Salmons. Think he is a good rotation player for 8 years or so. I have no problem using a 2nd round pick on him maybe even a late first if the fit is right.

I love his game, he should go early second, I honestly believe he could start for some teams at point he’s a stat stuffer

I like his game. He might be able to contribute for a contender immediately, but he’s 24 years old. How much of an advantage over 18-21 year olds does his age give him?

My son and I argue about Kane vs Marcus Smart all day.. Look give me D Kane all day. I like the old school phyiscal basketball. Kane is smart, rugged, do everything guard.  And he plays wit that chip on his shoulder.. Smart may faster and a bit more athletic but that just means he is more out of control with no Jump shot at all. Kane is tough on D rebounds well.. If kane was two years younger there is no way people would not be taking bout him top 15 in this draft..

Grizzlies sitting at 21 or so and could use depth at guard, on the wing, and maybe even another ball handler.  We went after a "Tony Allen replacement" last year in Jamal Franklin, but DeAndre Kane might be the better option. 

He could really bolster a bench unit, bringing energy, defense and versatility off the bench. 

Tony Allen is currently being used as a bench guy/6th man type providing energy, defense, rebounding, and, uh, chaos. 

Instead of bringing a gunner off the bench as an instant offense guy, maybe you bring a defender and energy guy who can play with anyone, and still manufacture some points.  Especially as the anchor of a defensive-minded bench mob.  Because bench guys won’t outscore anybody, BUT they could bring energy, turn up the defense, scrap, and slow the game down.  Get some boards, get to the line, and you can still get some points while your starting lineup rests.

Why shouldn’t Kane be in consideration for the late first round?  Ok, yeah, he is older, but that would be an ADVANTAGE if he goes to a contending team that could use a guy exactly like DeAndre Kane.  He can defend guards, play the 3 in smaller lineups, and be an extra ball handler. 

I think OKC could use him too.  Durant scores in bunches and Westbrook can get his points too.  What about Kane as a defender, glue guy, and extra ball handler.  They can use Kane as a big point guard with Westbrook off the ball at the 2. 

The Bulls have two mid-first round draft picks.  What if they get DeAndre Kane as a wing player to complement Jimmy Butler?  Those two and Snell can fill out their wing rotation.  If they can also go out and get Carmelo Anthony to pair up with MVP caliber players in Rose and Noah then the Chicago Bulls would have a very good team.

Yeah, he reminds me of Tony Allen.  Better ball handler than Tony, but TA is a pretty good slasher and can usually find his way to the basket (aside from his shaky handle).
