Bmore_DCParticipantAre we embarcking on a golden age of big men? I know its the "age of the point guard" but think about the bigs we will be watching in 2-3 years. Anthony Davis, Blake Griffin, Kevin Love, Demarcus Cousins, Andre Drummond, Joel Embiib, Okafor, Alexander, and maybe even Myles Turner. (sorry if im missing anyone)
Not to mention the older guys we still have ballin like Dwight Howard, Noah, Aldridge, Hibbert, Dirk, Duncan, Marc Gasol, Bosh, etc.
Pretty interesting to think about. It will be fun to watch it all play out!

Lotto StudParticipantOnce Duncan hangs them up the phrase, "The best PF to ever play the game" should walk with him as well because I feel it should never be used again no matter who plays well long after him.

BiggysmallsParticipantNBA Bigs are still pretty unskilled compared to "the golden age of bigs"
Drummond is freakishly athletic, but how are his post moves?
Love, Griffin, and Davis are all really good but more face up guys who can also do damage on the block.
Embiid shows flashed, but is really raw. He has nice looking footwork but at this point hes a long way off from being a dominant low post guy.
Turner from what I’ve heard is a defensive guy who is a long way away from being an offensive factor beyond dump downs and put backs.
Okafor could be a beast, but I haven’t seen him play so I cant really give much opinion.
AAU ball has basically taken away low post offense. Everything is all about pick and roll nowadays so the best bigs are the most mobile ones. Its a shame because good post play is really a treat to watch.
