OhCanada-ParticipantMoving on from an upsetting performance from Wiggins we have the Shockers and the Wildcats. Lets see if Wichita St. Can knockout Randle which would mean the top three preseason freshmen Parker, Wiggins, and Randle all eliminated.

jwall1ParticipantRandle is a freaking gazelle when taking the ball up the court. Even though he is 0 for 2, he has been running the ball and making plays beautifully.

ChrispyParticipantwith the patience of Wichita State. They really run their offense and don’t take many bad shots. Really organized sets.

King CaluchaParticipantGreat ball movement by Wichita state, they started off shooting a lot from 3, and then UK’s defense tightened, so they are now using a lot of cuts to the baskets. They really make good use of screens. Offensively they look great. Also… Van Fleet… so tough!
From UK, I think James Young looks OK. He’s not being dominant, but every time he touches the ball he looks dangerous…

jwall1ParticipantWow, as a UK fan it has been tought to watch them at times this year, but this is definitely the best they have played all season. The Harrisons are hitting shots and Julius Randle has shown that he can really pass the ball

OhCanada-ParticipantCleanthony Early is a beast in transition! He leaks out and runs the floor as well as anyone in college ball. Takes very effiecientt shots and looks very versatile. I was thinking hed be good for the Raps but maybe a reach at 18-22 but hes doing a good job convincing.

King CaluchaParticipantI spent a huge part of the season nitpicking on Randle’s game. Now I think he’ll be a very good pro and it’s not just because of today’s game.
He’s not the greatest defender… but he’s aggresive on both ends, he goes hard on the boards and good footwork always translates to the next level. He looks like a top 5 pick to me.
That being said: Go Wichita State! =D

TyroberParticipantThis has been a really fun game to watch. Veteran college team vs future NBA pros. There is 7 minutes left right now and it looks like it is going to come down to the wire.

jwall1ParticipantWhat a game…… Randle has been great in all aspects, Harrisons have been great, Young has been clutch, and Cleanothony Early is looking alot like Melo in this game.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantI’m now 2-8 in games decided by 3 points or less/games that have gone into OT.
It was a bit bizarre how much people were underrating Kentucky.
Yeah, they underperformed this year, but they were still a top 15 team by all objective measures. The elite post play combined with the fact that Andrew Harrison has improved in recent weeks is why I picked Kentucky to win. Also, I really liked this Wichita team (elite play at the point and on the wing), but the fact remains that when your #1 rebounder couldn’t even pull 6 boards a game against tomato cans, you’re gonna be in for some trouble when you face a real opponent.

strobox88ParticipantKentucky was knocking down shots. Both teams had impressive shooting numbers from both FG and 3PT, but Wichita State probably would have won if a few more free throws fell their way (66%). The two free throw misses from Nick Wiggins were huge. Cleanthony Early looked as talented as anyone on that Kentucky team. Ron Baker also played a great game despite some iffy shot selection down the stretch. I would have loved to see Early take Wichita’s last shot, though.

Hector_Reyes_8ParticipantHow is a team where absolutely NOBODY with tourney experience except for a 5th year bench warmer more battle tested? Witchita players have been in the tourney before. Kentucky had the talent, Witchita had the experience. Dude, I like Kentucky but you seem like a bandwagoner after calling out the “haters”.
