Before the season started, I was hyped for them. I thought they might contend for the top 3 seed, but to my dismay, they are so inconsistend and underachieving specially with the addition of Iguodala. Great thing though, they are on pace to beat last season’s record.

Yes. For all the hype and attention they get, they don’t live up to it. They have great pieces that compliment each other really well. Their bench isn’t great but there are certainly worse. It just kinda seems like one of those teams that the sum isn’t as great as the parts, opposite of the Suns and Bulls.

Steph Curry gets a lot of praise, and for good reason as he is having a very nice year. But I think he takes too many bad shots. Too often he settles for contested and difficult 3s early in the shot clock. He is an elite shooter, but he doesn’t take full advantage of that by taking bad shots at times. I still think they need to get David Lee the ball more often. When he gets touches, good things happen.

I like Mark Jackson, he has a personality that is easy to root for and he was always enjoyable as a sideline guy, but I wonder if he just isn’t what this Warrior team needs. I don’t follow them enough to know those kinds of details but to me, they are underachieving.

      1. Klay & Lee are 1-way players. Curry is, at best, OK on D. Lee and Klay are flat-out bad. These guys are relied on for their O, but their D is killing the team. You can’t contend w/3 bad defenders, even if your O is as amazing as GWS (which is just awesome to watch btw).

      2. Mark Jackson is seriously overrated. He’s a big personality with minimal substance. His praise and criticism is usually for motivation or to diminish someone (political or for personal benefit), which does not play well in the long run. I don’t like him–as a person, coach or player.

I don’t like him, but Klay Thompson is a fantastic defender. He’s certainly not a one way player. He’s inconsistent (more so offensively due to shot selection), but he’s very good on both ends of the floor.

I think the Iggy injury really set them back, they have a pretty good record when healthy.

I think they should have a few more wins but one thing they do have is assets

lets say kevin love/ aldrige  wants out  or carmelos really pushing for a sign and trade they have david lee, barnes ,iggy,, and bogut to move  they could acquire melo and a top pf that’s an exaggeration but im saying many ppl would love to team up with shooters like klay and curry I think this team can make a Memphis like run but I also believe they lack Star power and that will come back to hurt them going against teams with 4+ time all star players.

The West is just really tough. They have a really good team, but so does everyone above them in the standings. The Rockets got better with the addition of Dwight, the Clips seem to have taken a step. The only real surprise is Portland in the mix, but they’ve had the talent.

I think the coach is bad. They don’t have a ton of depth either. And the west is awesome. I would have guessed they would be a tad bit better, but I’m not at all surprised OKC, SA, HOU, and LAC are ahead of them.

I think that the West being loaded makes it tough for them to turn the corner and be that elite team. Also, I think their exciting brand of basketball really ups people’s expectations when in reality they’re right where they should be(might be a seed too low) if we’re comparing rosters.

A lot of the Warrior fans here in the bay area do think we are underachieving, however, at the beginning of the season I thought we’d be between the 6th-8th best team in the league, and currently we have the 8th best record in the league, and are on pace for 51 wins. That’s not bad. Sure we expected a couple more wins, but overall I’ve seen enough to believe that we have a legit shot at winning the west. The way portland has been faltering, we can grad the 5th seed as well, so I still think there’s plenty of time for this to be a successfull season.
