He hasn’t gotten much attention on this site after he was one of the most talked about players of the Summer League.  He got off to a very slow start, playing some games in the D-League, but he’s quietly becoming a major factor for the Kings.  He has averaged 9 points over his last 5 games, but more importantly has been putting up 3.4 assists while only 0.4 turnovers.  That’s an insane assist-turnover ratio.  This isn’t really a "you heard it here first" sort of situation, as he did garner a lot of attention during the summer, but don’t be surprised if he really breaks out next year and is one of the guys selected to play in the rookie-sophmore game.  He’s 22 years old, but still has a great deal of potential as a starter down the road, with good size at 6’2, an improving jumper and great overall athleticism (40 inch vertical).

too bad sacramento can’t land good players in the first round like they do in the second…

maybe this year they should trade their 1st round pick for all the 76ers 2nd rounders.  just kidding of course.

Yea he been balling he’s a smart player with great athleticism and good size at 6’2 190, he can be a great backup or possible starter in a few years.

He has surprised me over the last couple weeks. In summer league he played well but looked for his shot too much to run point and seemed much less effective against longer defenders. He seems to have learned much since then as he is far more comfortable finding teammates and helping them get into position on offense. He is not forcing up shots in traffic as he was earlier this season and is no slouch on defense. I really hope he comes along well as he seems highly motivated and coachable.

as someone who watched a lot of GSW games last year, I hope to ALL THE GODS, that Ray is not anything like Jarret Jack; there is a reason JJ got jettisoned from a top ten team (the reason being he singlehandedly lost games last year).
Ray seems to be a much more willing passer, and will have a higher ceiling as a player.

It really is nice to see him succeeding. Especially since he chose to play for his dad instead of playing for a big program in college. Considering he was a Mcdonalds all american the family loyalty always lead me to pull for this guy.
