LitteringAnd…Participantis going freaking nuts!! He’s 8/8 from deep with 52 points, 3 shy of his career record. The most ridiculous thing was him getting doubled and passing to Chris Andersen who sunk a three, yes the birdman with the triple. What is even happening?

drk3351ParticipantHe has 57 now, is that his career high? Brew Jefferson has 36 which is rare now a days for a back to the basket big man.

JoeWolf1He’s quietly had a great season. That was the 4th time this season he’s gone for more than 35, and he’s topped 30, 10 times…although the East sucks, and they Bobcats are currently in 7th with a sub 500 record. Jefferson has played well, and the Bobcats are much improved due to his presense.

BajeebzParticipantThe mask must not be too much of a problem. I wish the NBA would’ve let him keep the batman/phantom/lone ranger one. It would’ve made this even more legendary.

drice4life1753ParticipantUnreal performance tonight. It is defintely very clear he has no interest in the MVP race being thought of as over. I think it is safe to say after tonight the sports world and media will not be able to stop talking about tonights performance (rightfully so) and if the Heat continue their winning streak and LBJ keeps playing at this level this could be one of the most interesting MVP races in awhile….I take LeBron.

Sewok15ParticipantHe will probably have about 25 in the first half and only play 8 minutes in the 2nd half and finish with 33 points. OKC 135- Philly 95

PhillytheKidLemme start by saying I hate his decision. Hate the fact taht he’s a frontrunner Yankees/Cowboys fan. The guy isn’t "real", its not his fault….but he’s not real.
Because I hated "the decision" to play on a team where when he is on the bench you still have D. Wade and Bosh out there, is unfair. Its not like they played together really well, that was some of the worst baksetball I watched when the Heat got started and I was so happy when Dallas won. OKC plays similarly to Miami (just athleticism no ball movement), and San Antonio won.
I hated Jordan early on too. But I started to respect jordan’s greatness. Lebron is a coaster, UNTIL, Kevin Durant got to the finals while he was still struggling trying to beat the Celtics in 7 games. The fact that Lebron had to play a game 7 meanwhile everyone was stating how Kevin Durant had arrived, lit a fire in Lebron (that fire should have always been tehre). He had an unbelievable shooting performance that game 7, where it was clear he was so good when lockedin. He also played really well game 7 against the Spurs. But I don’t think he ever took it to that next level until Durant started having all this success.
In some ways Lebron has to know that Durant is a more skilled player than he is (but Lebron is just far more dominant due to his size). Its kinda sad that Durant’s success is what drives Lebron….he should be competing against whoever is on the court with him, not worrying about what other plays are doing for motivation.
Anyway, I respect Lebron’s game…I still think KD is a much better shooter and I think Paul George is a better passer and more skilled…Lebron’s just got that God-given size and strength. Respect for his game, but he’s still a fraud.

Champzilla21ParticipantHaha what you think PG is a better passer and more skilled? Whatever your on ill take two of them please. Pauls highest career assists is 4.1, Lebrons lowest is 5.9 his rookie year. Its okay not to like him but lets be realistic here.

PhillytheKidI admit I’m somewhat unrealistic.
I am not talking from statistics, I am speaking only with skill. George is just a beautiful basketball player.
Lebron is muscle-head who is still very skilled, he just is not on the level of Kobe or George, beauty-wise. A lot of his spectacular plays is due to his indefensible size and power.
Lebron also dominates the ball a lot more than Paul George bro. Also, Pat Riley gets all the creditfor the Heat…Pat Riley made some brilliant signings (Battier, Allen), but its not like its difficult. Everyone wants to playwith lebron because they’re all frontrunners.
Michael Beasely is the biggest chump in the NBA but he acts like he’s the man because he’s playing with Lebron…what a chump!

HaleParticipantLeBron James usage rate: 28.9
Paul George usage rate: 26.6
I guess he doesn’t dominate the ball that much more does he? Paul George isn’t on the same planet as LeBron in terms of skill in any facet of the game except defense. I feel like you are just using a stereotype of LeBron from like 2005 (wasn’t true then either) and overrating George to the max. George will never be the passer LeBron is so bringing that up is laughable.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantLebron’s getting hot at the right time to overtake Durant for league’s MVP…I remember about 20 years ago when it seem that Grant Hill had the rookie of the year won….But in the final months Jason Kidd went on that fabolous streak and the vote ended in a tie…Could it be the same this year with KD & Lebron? MVP ties are a rarity in the nba…

JoeWolf1I’d like to see some new blood as far as MVP goes. Jordan could have won it every year from 87-93 and 96-98, but the NBA rewarded other players for having great years.
Lebron is the best player in the game, but IMO he shouldn’t win the MVP award every season. That has never been what the MVP has been about. You can obviously make an agreement the other way, but was Barkley or Malone better than Jordan in 93′ or 97′? No, but they were worthy award winners for what they did for their teams. I just think its not as simple as who is the best guy in the league.

surveParticipantits not about the best player, its about what it says…Most Valuable. if KD were to miss some games, I still think OKC can be a very good team. If Lebron misses any extended time, I dont see how the Heat can keep it up…not with their roster. The way the rosters are configured and they way the players fit into the respective systems….I think he is the MVP hands down.
Even though I liked the selection of Rose, it may have been more of a mirage in hindsight. He had a great year and they won 20 more games….but when he went down…the Bulls were still very good. The difference was more likely the change from Del Negro to Thibs. So if we are talking MVP, Lebron couldve won it that year as well.

JoeWolf1I think you’re underestimating how good the Heat are without Lebron. Would they win it all? No, but if you’re knocking Rose because the Bulls won 45 games last year, I don’t know how you can think a team lead by Chris Bosh and even an 3/4 speed D-Wade couldn’t win 45 games in the Eastern Conference in a season without Lebron. They most certainly would.
Like I said, I can understand the other side of the arguement. Lebron is the best player in basketball, but KD had a worthy season to nab it this season. He answered questions as to whether he’d be able to pick up the slack when Russell went down, they’re first in their conference. I think it’s KD’s year.
Both guys are worthy, and I wouldn’t throw a fit if Lebron won. I’m just ready to see some new blood in there.

SpaceghostParticipantI enjoy the blogs/message boards here and seeing different EDUCATED opinions on this site. But today has to be the worst PAUL GEORGE/KD more skilled a basketball player. CMON this is Comical. Lebron i’m sure would admit that KD is a better natural scorer, that’s the truth. Paul George I got mad respect for has no where near the IQ with the ball or off the ball. Lebron makes passes that no one in this leagues can see or deliver. U can not like him for joining up with wade and bosh blah blah.I get that!!. As far as people wanting to play with lebron are front runners..thats BS … maybe its because he is a superstar that has no problem passing up a hero shot to get his teammate a better open shot.
U gone miss the KING when he is GONE..
