The season’s end cannot come soon enough for my Bucks and as I was checking out the site today, I saw a SubHub ad for Bucks tickets.  I checked it out and was floored by the number of tickets available and the prices.  And, I am willing to bet you can do even better hanging around the Bradley Center right before tip.

Two weekday games this week (Jazz and Sacto) and you can get 2nd level tickets (pretty much anywhere you want) for $6.81 and lower level starting at $13.17.  SMH.

This weekend they play the Bullets (always the Bullets to me) and lower level starting at $25.40 and in the nose bleeds starting at $12.14.

I will end where I started.  This Buck’s season cannot end soon enough!

It does not help you much that you are in a smaller market. Just to think if you were to take a Jabari Parker or Andrew Wiggins, I still believe your numbers will not skyrocket upward. It will make a difference but there is no way sales will jump out the roof.

Milwaukee+suburbs has close to two million inhabitants. When they were competitive 12-14 years ago they easily sold out every game, and the atmosphere was terrific.  Their lack of attendance is almost exclusively due to being awful, not to the size of the city.

Even the Lakers had some difficulty in selling seats in the mdist of their post-Shaq dip, and it never featured a season as abysmal as the 2013-2014 mighty Bucks.

It’s not all bad for the Bucks, sure the glory days of Glenn Robinson, Ray Allen, Sam Cassell are gone, but the current Bucks roster has pieces to get excited about.  If you re-did the 2013 Draft, you could argue that  Giannis Antetokounmpo should have been the top pick overall (Michael Carter-Williams and Oladip also considered). His size, speed, and athletism is almost unprecedented, if he can develop a jumpsont, watch out.  In addition, the play of Brandon Knight has been promising, although not the point guard they hoped he’d be, Knight has been putting up points, and leading transition buckets. The Bucks also have a very a solid up and coming young big who plays both ends in John Henson. They even have solid role players in Nate Wolters, Khris Middleton and the very underrated Miralslav Raduljica (who will garner considerable attention this off season, and may be overpaid).  Add to that the potential to land a Embid, Parker, or Wiggins and the you suddently get a little excited about the Roster.

Bad news is the bad multi year contracts handed out to one dimensional players like Zaza Pachulia, Ersan Illysova, OJ Mayo, and Larry Sanders. Although, I’m not ready to give up on Sanders, a defensive stop gap is often over paid in the NBA.

Accept it for what it is and as a consumer take advantage.  Use those ridiculously cheap ticket prices to go check out some of the leagues best.  That’s what I would be doing if tickets were that cheap for the Lakers!!

Lower level for 20 bucks? Sign me up for every home game!

For a 19 year old, he has been doing pretty nicely. Yes he’s raw, but the potential is tremendous, and there aren’t many people in this past years draft I would take over him. Definitely a top 5 pick if a redraft was done.

Bucks have to pay their dues.  They are at a major disadvantage being a small market team.  If they can hit a home run in this year’s draft and pair him with Giannis, there will be some better years ahead.  Hang in there!

Hate to say it but it is not looking good on the new stadium the Bucks need to stay in Milwaukee.  A lot has to happen over the next year for them to stay and if I were a betting man, I bet they are gone.  Doomsday current lease is up in 2015, so that battle is not too far away.

So agree with Magic Jordan.  Get your arses to the arena and enjoy them while you can.

The Bucks could do with some luck in the lottery, personally I’d like them to stay in the top two so they get a shot at two from Embiid, Wiggins and Parker. At worse they should get 4th or 5th pick so they would still get a good player in.

If they do get a potential franchise changer it could well pull the crowds back, I thought that the Bucks signed a 6 year lease extension back in 2011 so they would be at the arena until the end of 2016-17 season. That gives the Bucks a year or two to start turning the corner with a Embiid/Parker. If the franchise receives a boost then crowds will increase and makes a stronger case for a new Arena.

I think a majority of fans for a variety of teams are saying the same thing, but if I were a Bucks fan I would be ecstatic about their future. You have a chance to pair another extremely young, talented player with Giannis. I think Exum would be the best fit with out of the top 6 prospects (Embiid, Parker, Wiggins…). Several posters have talked about the few bad contracts they have on the team. It would be nice if they could move those, but Giannis looks like he could be a special player in additon to whoever they take in this top-heavy, talent-loaded draft class.

This is one of the reasons why I hate tanking.  Fair enough to get a lotto pick but as a fan it is painful and frustrating to watch (especially when there is no guarantee you will get the no1 pick anyway)

this year might be a little different, there is no need to get the top pick. anywhere top 3 looks like  no. 1 picks (embiid, parker, wiggins) . 4-6 (exum, smart, randle) still has a high chance to be a star. worth the risk imo

The ironic thing is the teams that we thought would tank like the Suns and the Raptors are in a play offs. Also with the various picks traded we could see Denver end up with a very high pick from the Knicks and Denver’s own lottery pick going to Orlando.

The D12 trade winners after this year’s draft could be Rob Hennigan and the Magic and it will also have a big baring on how Sam Hinkie’s moves with 76ers look.
