You are an NBA GM drafting players so lets look at some players that are very very similar in the draft but dont seem to be ranked closely.  Looking at these pairings, who is the better NBA player and why?

(You should be tempted to choose 1 name right away but i challenge you to take a close look at current numbers, size, athletic ability, projected position, and skill set.)

    Aaron Gordon or Cleanthony Early

    Noah Vonleh or Adrian Payne

    Gary Harris or Markel Brown

I haven’t seen much of Early or Brown so I don’t think I can comment on those comparisons. I think when it’s all said and done Payne will be a top 20/ late lottery pick. The guy is somewhat a late bloomer, but look at his progression since his freshman year. If he makes that same type of improvement in his first 2-3 years in the league he could be one of the best stretch 4’s in the NBA. Not to mention if he never improved at all he’d still be a contributor an any roster. Really underrated at this point in the season.

Aaron Gordon or Cleanthony Early- Aaron Gordon, hes an 18 year old freshman athletic freak. Early is a good player, hes a 22 year old senior. Early, according to this site was measured at 6’7 w/o shoes with a 6’9 wingspan. Between the two im taking Gordon because of his age, motor and superior athletics as well his bigger build and wingspan.

Vonleh or Payne: Im a Spartan fan and love Adrien Payne and the progress hes made in his tenure at MSU. He’s older and may be more useful to a contending team initially, but in the long run Vonleh has all-star potential where i really don’t think Adrien does. Payne can definetly carve out a niche for himself as a stretch four and hustle guy.

Harris vs Brown: Gary Harris. He’s explosive a great defender and potentially dangerous from deep. Brown too is a great athlete, but he isn’t as much of a scorer IMO as Harris. Plus as usual its an age debate. Harris is 19, 6’4 w/shoes and 6’6.5 wingspan. Brown, 6’3 senior 2 guard. Maybe brown ends up as a spark plug off a bench but not the starter, all star that Harris could be.
