Moon RiverParticipantThe tanking continues with the trade with the Bobcats. Sessions and Adrien to MIL and Ridnour and Neal to Charlotte.
According to my calculcations they save about $2M in salary and also Sessions is a free agent this summer and Milwaukee will have a team option for Adrien. So, essentially a salary dump and clearing up more space for………….well I guess we will find out this summer. Ridnour is a free agent this summer and Neal is signed for this year and next at $3.25M (for each year).

surveParticipantBucks are down in the dumps. Word is, they pulled this deal because Neal and Sanders dont get along. They cant get rid of Sanders so….
Sanders is a serious albatross for them.

machu46ParticipantDoes anybody else notice that Sanders only gets into these arguments with guys that are known for being assholes anyways? He’s grown extremely close to Giannis, Wolters, and the other young guys.
If Sanders can get healthy, I think he’s a very important piece to Milwaukee still. He’s one of the few guys in the league that legitimately loves being in Milwaukee and he’s probably Giannis’ best friend on the team. Not to mention when healthy, he’s a huge difference maker defensively.

DolanCareParticipantI wonder if they’ll move Illyasova. It doesn’t really make sense for the Bucks to pay him 7.5 for the next four years. Especially since the two seasons are probably going to be part of the rebuild process.
It would be great to see Ersan go to a team like the Grizzles. They could definitely use a stretch four off the bench.

Moon RiverParticipantI heard on a radio shoe in WI yesterday that the Bucks had legitimate offers on the table for Illyasova. However, the owner (Herb Kohl) apparently really likes Illyasova so that played a large roll in Hammond not seriously entertaining the offers. I sincerely hope this is not true.

Jester87ParticipantTanking was not the plan for them, they just overrated their roster a lot and injuries messed things up. I wouldn’t be surprised if people in their front office think this trade is going to make them better and that wouldn’t be such a crazy idea: Ridnour has been injured all season long and looked fairly washed up when he played; Neal has been terrible having to play with the ball in his hands a lot more than he used to do for San Antonio; Sessions is an upgrade over pretty much anyone who’s been playing point guard for them (Knight has played mostly shooting guard next to Wolters or Ridnour). The trade makes some sense for the Bobcats too, they desperately needed shooters and Neal might become more efficient playing off the ball while Ridnour gives them a decent back up point guard.

Mr. HookShotParticipantThats the worst part about the Bucks: they spended quite some money on their roster in order to compete for a play-off spot I guess (while they should have decided to go rebuilding).

HitsterParticipantI think the Bucks tried to replace Ellis and Jennings with Knight and Mayo effectively but that obviously hasn’t worked. They are in line to get a top 5 pick at worse this year and hopefully for them something within the top 3.
