The guy has been playing pretty well lately with the amount of minutes he’s been given. In the month of February he has averaged 8.5ppg 5.5rpg while shooting 47% from the floor and 41% from deep range in 19.6mpg. Obviously he has a long way to go before he ever can live up to his draft position but I think that people were much too hard on him in the beginning. He’s fought through a huge amount of adversity in the first 1/2 of his rookie season. He’s come back from a major shoulder surgery, he’s had too keep his head up through all of the laughs and boos he’s received from NBA veterans he’s looked up to, fans of not only the opposing team but his own also. He’s been called the worst 1st overall pick ever, even worse than Kwame Brown. Through it all he’s mangaged to lose 20lbs during the season, get back into game shape, and start to play well in the limited minutes he’s received so far when he could’ve easily given up. I know that the season is still not over but I think it is time to give the guy some praise for not giving in during the storm of adversity he has gone through.

people judge and give up on players way to quick. he’s only 20 years old. he hasen’t even had an off-season as a pro to work on his game. people need to wait at least 3 years do see how players develope. if he’s still the same when he’s 23 or 24 then call him a bust but let him work on his game and get use to playing against grown men that are top line pro’s.

Yeah he is a work in progress but i’m suprised with his upbeat attitude a lot of rookie’s might have crumbled under the pressure but he’s been working hard to get better… time will tell if he is worth that #1 but i think he won’t be the worst #1 ever

I feel like until a player is completly out of the league, there is always a chance for them to turn things around. Most recently I remember people gave up on Kendall Marshall but he’s proven that he does belong in the NBA.

I agree, in a redraft I really think he you could be justified still going top 5. He is an athletic, good rebounding PF that can shoot the ball, and many teams now a days value bigs like this. He was out of shape and coming off a shoulder injury, but of what I have seen lately I really do think he has a bright future and potential to be a very good player in the league.

Against the Magic he had 7pts and 9rpg in just 16mins. On a side note I think that he has found his niche on the team as a high energy big man off the bench.
I did think that Kendall Marshall wouldn’t amount to much mainly because he wasn’t athletic and he couldn’t shoot which is a horrible combination. Nice to see him carve a lane for himself in L.A.

no matter how you put it he shouldn’t have been picked # 1..he will always be an undersized 4 man that can make a jumpshot and has limited defensive ability.

Hopefully Bennett will see more serious minutes down the stretch as the Cavs look to be on a nice role at the moment.
Ironically they are 6-0 I think since Chris Grant left.
