The8thDeadlySinParticipantKings get:
Jason Terry and Reggie Evans
Nets get:
Marcus Thornton
Nice trade for the Nets. They get some scoring punch. Now all they need is a big man to make noise in the playoffs.

are more likely to trade away Jason Thompson to the Cavs for Jarrett Jack, they would then start Derrick Williams at PF with Evans as the backup.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantSo who do the Nets trade for Hill now? Would they give up Plumlee and Teague for him?

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantApparently, they would give up their Brook Lopez trade exception for Jordan Hill. If the Lakers want to

drk3351ParticipantI like this for Sacramento. Unloads a terrible contract for a bad contact, saves 6 million from terry to Thornton. Also Marcus was a chucker, this should get mclemore more run. For Brooklyn not bad, get another scorer though man that backcourt is way overpaid with Thornton, Williams, and Johnson.

earldaniel31Participantby doing this trade Sacramento will save a little over 2.7 million in salary for the next 2 years; a little over 1.4 million for next season plus they will temporary have an answer to ther back-up PG problem for the couple of years..
if Gay opts in, Kings will be pretty close to luxury territory next season, i think they’re trying to shred off a couple million in salary to avoid paying luxury tax..

HitsterParticipantI bet Jason Terry is really thrilled to end up in Sacramento as he was part of the KG, PP trade last summer. The Kings have moved Thornton, they get a good rebounder in Evans who they could trade in the summer or even buy out. With Jason Terry I reckon they will do a buy out and he’ll get snapped by a contender wanting bench depth.
I could see the Lakers taking the exception in a trade for Hill as it does their lottery chances no harm and also reduces their luxury tax bill considerably.

earldaniel31ParticipantSacramento can also buy Terry out.. then he’s free to sign with a contender.. Miami just freed up a roster space
