    So I never post potential trades, as I know they never happen, but I tried this one on ESPN and it works out for all 3 teams.

     

    Toronto gets Raymond Felton and Mareese Speights to replace Greivas Vazquez and Amir Johnson. Speights has a friendlier salary than Amir and they won’t lose anything with Felton off the bench instead of Vazquez. If Lowry were to bolt they’d at least have an insurance policy at pg to start the season. I see Patterson taking Amir’s minutes for the rest of the season anyhow.

     

    GS gets Artest and and Amir Johnson to replace Harrison Barnes and Speights. This is an upgrade in many ways for GS. Especially leadership down the stretch for a playoff push. Truth is Harrison Barnes is almost redundant to Klay Thompson and they’ll never get the most use of his talent. They just don’t have enough minutes for him. Stronger bench for GSW also

     

    Knicks get Vazquez and Barnes to replace Artest and Felton. Its a no brainer for them, they get younger and more talented

     

    Best thing about this trade is that no teams have to give away picks for this coming draft.

    I expect to get negged, as noone ever gives positive feedback for these posts. No big deal though, just trying to have some fun.

     Knicks are the clear winners in this trade. No way GS gives up Barnes to have him replaced by an old Ron Artest. I dont understand how you think this improves there bench situation.

    Good deal for knicks, but GS would want more for Barnes . Maybe add Shumpert? They would need to trade a wing player to open up enough minutes for Barnes .

     Lol amir is a fan favourite, no way hes traded for mareese speights sorry.

      I agree there is no way Raptors will trade Amir for Speights. He is so underrated and while people think he’s way overpaid I think he’s worth it. He’s one of those players that his impact doesn’t show up on the stat sheet but he has won Toronto games with his hustle, effort and defense. Speights is a bad defender but a better scorer. Why would Toronto give up their interior defender for a guy who can score when they already have Patterson to score. Casey loves Amir too so he won’t be going anywhere unless the offer is too good to pass up. Speights and Felton is not one of those.

      Plus Vasquez is a better fit than Felton. The best thing about Vasquez is he’s a 6’6 PG meaning he can play with Lowry, Felton can’t since he’s another small pg like Lowry.

        i disagree about felton.  i thought he played really well with lawson when he was traded to the nuggs.
