My take on all star Saturday

 To be honest, I hated the format of the dunk contest.  I don’t know why they feel they need to change the format.  Doesn’t make sense to me.  Although I won $30 on Wall winning, woooo

I loved most of it. I loved how the skills challange was wa relay with 2 teams of two. That was a massive hit IMO. Was fun to watch and added more to the skills challange. Also liked the idea of how there was a rack of money balls. Added another element of stratergy to the 3 point contest. DID NOT like the dunk contest. Luckily I no longer get hyped up about the dunk contest as it has dissapointed me so many times. Had the potenial to be great but the it failed. I like kind of like the free style and battle rounds but there should have been a final round where the best dunkers of the winning team go head to head for the individual crown.

 I don’t see what was wrong with the old dunk format. Give these guys several chances to throw down! Back in the day if you made it to the finals you were dunking 7 or 8 times in that competition. Just limit the number of misses that is allowed per turn so that things don’t get out of hand like they have in the past

 I was hoping to see John Wall and PG go at it. When it ended with the east team winning I almost throw my romote at the tv… On another note that John Wall dunk was crazy. 

Who do you guys think would have won between him( Wall) and PG?

 If the old format was around I had Wall vs McLemore in the Finals with Wall still being the Champ.

 I hated Saturday night. They messed it up with these new formats. The three point is the only one i agreed on. They really messed up the dunk contest for everyone. It was horrible

The dunk contest was disappointing,  it came down to pretty much one dunk a piece which just left everyone feeling cheated. 

I also do not understand why people think Wall’s dunk was that impressive. It was quick and on the 1st attempt with a lot of show boating after, but it was not a very difficult dunk. His (like McLemore’s) dunk could have been done by anyone who can get enough height to clear w/e they are jumping over. The most difficult dunk made belonged to Paul George with the 360 between the legs.

Also, they really need to change back to The scores out of 10 because it looked like at least one of the judges would have voted East even if the dunks where switched and Magic was looking for any reason he could to go with the West. Go back to scores where it’s a bit more difficult to show bias.

 I was fine with everything up til the dunk contest.

I don’t get why they couldn’t just do what they did in all the other contests and tinker it a bit to make it a team thin without completely changing the event.

Each dunker goes twice, then top from east faces top from west in final. It’s not that hard.

Shooting stars because of the half court shot will never be that great but it was good.

Not sure why they don’t line up quickly and take shots 1 after another to improve odds even Reggie Miller mentioned it.
