DukeBlue22ParticipantLooking at some exciting games tonight. Who do you all got?
UNC plays very well against top 20 teams and clearly outsizes Duke. I think Duke wins this game, but it will be tough playing in Chapel Hill. Paige needs to be locked down in order for Duke to win.
Can Cuse finally go down. Pitt is playing at home, but has been struggling. Can they shoot against that zone?

machu46ParticipantAs a Cuse fan, I’m pretty nervous about this one. With Keita likely out, Jerami Grant is going to have to be the backup C, and that spells trouble with Talib Zanna in the paint. If Patterson gets it going and Christmas gets in foul trouble, I think Pitt will take this one. And I believe they’re actually favored in this game anyways.
Regarding the Duke-UNC game, I’d be surprised if UNC wins, but you never know with that team. They just randomly show up big sometimes.

dcaseParticipantPeople brushed the Coleman injury off as no big deal. With Keita likely out they could sure use another big body (not to mention an additional 5 fouls), especially against a physical Pitt team. On top of that Dixon has a winning record against Beoheim and the Zoo is a tough place to play. If the Cuse is to win, they would have definitely earned it. Go Orange!!!!

cuseflynn10ParticipantZanna and Patterson are both dealing with injuries, but they will play. Last I checked, there hasn’t been a decision made on BMK, but if he’s out that’s a huge blow. Christmas usually only gets 20-25 minutes, but ideally he’ll have to play 35+ if we want to win. Hopefully he’s in good enough shape and plays smart enough to avoid early and stupid fouls.
And its it’s not just Christmas who needs to stay out of foul trouble, Grant has to as well. If Grant picks up two early fouls, Christmas may have to play the entire first half which is something I don’t think he has ever done. I never thought redshirting Chinoso Obokoh would come back to haunt us, but it very well may tonight.

dcaseParticipantThe good news is Keita’s injury doesn’t appear to be too serious and he may only miss a couple of games at most. The Cuse needs two healthy centers if they want to compete for the title this year (mainly due to the Christmas issues you highlighted above). On the bright side this may mean more playing time for Roberson. I think he can help provide depth off the bench and any playing time will help him next year.

DolanCareParticipantI have UNC winning this one. They have home court and atheletes who can guard the perimeter. Now I’m sure Jabari will have a big game, but I also think Mcadoo and Meeks will score in bunches in the post. Just my opinion but I have UNC squeaking this one out.

SpartanGloryParticipantDuke-UNC is reportedly canceling the game pending ACC approval.

machu46ParticipantReally amazing how the South can’t handle less than an inch of snow. Really glad I don’t live in the area right now. People are going to be stranded all night.

Lafferty DanielParticipantIt’s the ice they’re concerned with. Supposed to get a lot of sleet this evening. Either way, Dickie V isn’t happy.

machu46ParticipantThey knew this storm was coming for awhile. They easily could have gotten salt for the roads, not to mention Duke easily could have left for Chapel Hill before the storm got there. Everybody was able to make it to UNC except for Duke. It’s a joke.
