drk3351ParticipantA video breakdown of last nights Wolves and Warriors game showing why Curry is a elite. Right now he might be a top 3 PG. Including guys who are hurt I’d put Paul, Westbrook and maybe Tony Parker ahead of him but that’s it.

BlueLacesParticipantHe became elite last year during the playoffs.

goldie92689ParticipantHe broke out last year in the playoffs but he is now showed a level of consistency to move in rank with the elites.
He is in a class with westbrook, rose, parker, cp3, rondo, but honestly I would take him over anyone. Have we ever seen a person shoot a volume of difficult shots with his level of efficiency?

3 No Biases 3ParticipantI actually agree with you, I’ve been a big Rondo fan because of his intelligence and insane competitiveness (people underestimate that) but I’m slowly moving towards Curry as the guy I would want over anyone on my team.
You’re exactly right, he gets pressured outside the 3 pt line often with bigger players every possession. He averages over 23 and 9 and can get you 30 pts or 15 assists easily on any given night. The bigger part for me is that he is clutch, when the game matters, for example out of the gates in the second half or late in the game he outshines the other pgs.
Everyone likes to jump on CP3’s dick and while I think he’s great, I don’t think he’s any better than the 6 you mentioned. They’re all great, I mean what has he done in the playoffs and look at his team doing great without him. Just never understood it…and those who say he’s never had a team, he has…his team was loaded last year and a true 3rd best player would have gotten them out of the first round….

WolfRobParticipantIm still taking CP3 over any other PG… His track record speaks for him. Look at that old N.O. team he used to take to the playoffs… Curry could be my second though, maybe even over Russ. Thats one hell of a toss up though.
Anyone else miss watching D-Rose play?

JD’s_TimberpuppiesParticipantThe real reason is he avoided the curse of the franchise that I still continue to love and root for the Minnesota T’Wolves….Thanks Kahn!

Jester87ParticipantHe’s elite because he hits pull up 3s like they were layups, so it’s really hard to defende against him in pick and roll or transition situations, he messes other teams plans up. Only 3 or 4 players have such a big overall impact on the offensive end. Plus, Warriors play very good team defense and they seem to be able to hide him on D even if he’s a weak individual defender.

jwall1ParticipantI wouldn’t take Curry over CP3 or Westbrook, after that it is a toss-up between Curry, Rondo, Rose, Wall, and Parker. Curry is a great shooter, but Wall is more athletic, a better passer, and a better defender. If Rose and Rondo were healthy, I would still take them over Curry. He is definitely a top 5 or 6 pg either way, and that is not an easy feat to accomplish in today’s NBA.

contestwinnerParticipantI’ve watched some games of Curry this year and he makes some great passes. I would put him ahead of Wall easily based on what I’ve seen of both. Curry is second in the league in passing behind Chris Paul based on my rankings. D-Will gets injured too much, Curry definitely surpassed Rubio, and Rondo and Curry and pretty even when healthy.
Curry has improved so much this year as an all around point guard, I’d take him over Wall, Parker, and Rondo easily based on his lethal shooting, great handles, and laser passing.
Let’s not even include Rose in the discussion….

Jester87ParticipantWall has tremendous upside but he still has lot to improve to get to the same level of the top 5-6 point guards in the league. He’s a devastating fast break player, but he goes out of control too often, he’s not an efficient scorer, isn’t nowhere as good in the half court as he is when he can run, and his defensive focus and effort come and go.

BlueLacesParticipantLet’s not forget Curry also leads the league with 4.2 TOs/game.
