Who do you guys think are some of the most exciting college guys to play?

One guy I saw highlights of that I would’ve loved to see play was Kenny Anderson, he was a magician with the ball. Had every trick.

One guy that I absolutely loved to see play was Kemba Walker his last yr @ UCONN. He was just amazing, no one could guard him

Also, watching John Wall his lone season @ UK was incredible. He really ruled college basketball in terms of an excitement thing.

I would say Jimmer Fredette and Kemba Walker are the two most exciting college players in the past 5 years

Kevin Durant was probably my favorite to watch his one year at UT, you could tell right away that he was going to be a special player.

Also really enjoyed watching Michael Beasley and Bill Walker play at Kansas State

Going back a while, Chris Webber was fun to watch, the athleticism and ball handling for a man his size was extraordinary. A player recently I enjoyed watching was Kevin Durant, he was so big and so smooth with the ball. He could make any shot!

I never saw Pistol Pete play, but his highlights look sick.

Most ppl probably don’t think of centers when they think of exciting but I’ll probably go with Shaq with AI a close second.

You got 3 pretty good ones there. Shaq is up there for me. His monster walk/strut back after a monster dunk was even more intimidating and exciting back then. A younger, more agile, with the athletic exuberance and abiltiy to be able to move that big, and strong of a body was quite something to watch, especially against smaller, weaker competition. Add in his personality. If only Dwight Howard had the ability turn off that non-serious side of him, or if he had a nasty, ugly side to him.

Also never saw Pistol, but to average 44 PPG without a 3 point line………and had crazy range and would pull up from deep deep.

Iverson, best scoring undersized player of all time was good too.

KD, Chris Jackson, the Fab Five and Mike Beasley were pretty fun and exciting. Dejuan Wagner did it for me too. Steph Curry the few times he was televised.

You could maybe throw in the whole Magic/Bird thing in there too.

Allen Iverson….I have never seen a player that fast in the open court ever at any level of basketball.  The speed, athleticism, quickness, agility and improvisation Iverson had in the open court during his two seasons at Georgetown was an absolute joy to watch.

I tend to like watching PGs at the college level. Kemba was great to watch in their championship year. I liked watching guys like Jimmer and steph curry, you knew they were going to shoot it a lot and they made so many tough shots. Jameer Nelson when he played for saint josephs was probably my favorite player to watch.

In person: Derrick Rose, Chris Douglas-Roberts, DJ Stephens.  LaMarcus Aldridge was a FREAK, just really, really big and LONG.

On TV: Chris Webber, Kevin Durant, Marshall Henderson, and I like what Joel Embiid is doing.

since we’re going exciting and not necessarily the best, I have a few

damon stoudamire, allen Iverson, vince carter, steve francis, ismail muhammad, kenyon martin, jay williams, rickey paulding, chris thomas, chris paul, derrick rose

to name a few on the exciting factor. i know it’s a big list, but these guys on the court i remember looking forward to watching the highlights again even after i would watch the game the most.

If Kansas plays in the South Regional this year I am going to go.  I would watch Embiid and Wiggins over basically anyone in basketball.

I never watched Phi Slamma Jamma (too young) but I can imagine that is what they were like with Akeem Olajuwon and Cylde Drexler along with some other athletes.

That would be the retro team that I would have wanted to watch along with the David Thompson NC State teams.

Individual retro players I would have loved to watch (live or on TV) include Pistol Pete, Larry Finch, Larry Kenon (one local guy calls him the greatest player to ever put on a Tiger uniform), and Len Bias.  I would have loved to Michael Jordan in person on either the college or pro level.  Maybe Bill Walton too, but that guy killed us in the ’73 title game.

Baron Davis sure was fun, Stevie Francis was like watching a streetball game at Maryland, and locally in Jersey Horace "The Helicopter" Jenkins was f-ing awesome back in the day. The most exciting guy for me, though, was Vinsanity at North Carolina. He looked like he had trampolines out there. Awesome, stupid hops and I watched every game I could just to see what he would do.

If we’re talking about the past, I would have to say Chris Jackson or Pistol Pete at LSU. Pistol Pete of course averaged over 40 points a game for his career. Chris Jackson 29 points per game in his two year career. He was pretty much Steph Curry before Steph Curry much better athlete though.

For present days, theres a lot, but who rememembers the Adam Morrison, JJ Reddick year, that was exciting.

I’m not a Duke fan, but I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t tune in when JJ Redick was playing. In college, he had the star quality about him, everybody on the road hated him, and everytime he shot the ball it seemed to go in.

Kevin Durant was incredible, I was shocked by how good he was. He obviously became a star. Watching Michael Beasley the year after Durant made me believe he was destined for the same path. Too bad that didn’t come true.

I was also a huge fan of Rashad McCants from UNC and Denis Clemente from K-State.

Florida is my favorite college team, and we’ve had a lot of great players as well.

I’ve always liked watching shooters take advantage of the NCAA 3 point line. Guys like a Redick,Steph, and Jimmer were unstoppable and none of them were over 6’4 or dunked in a game.

    Easily Stephen Curry.

He took a team full of tomato cans to the Elite 8.

    Also Beasley.

I thought he was gonna be the best player from that epic draft class too.

Beasley was a 6’10 hybrid forward tearing down the boards, taking it to the tin, and draining deep 3s.
