Bmore_DCParticipantHas anybody really seen him play in highschool? I know a little bit about him and i was thinking today about the opportunity he has to go a little higher in this draft than his current projection…

flopdownDi saw him play more than one game, Kasey Hill was ‘the man’ on that team and who created lots of buckets for Walker, but Walker is Not just a run and jump which i get in arguments with people, he actually has raw skill… Just tad low bb iq.
He erased shots at will showing decent timing, he is a Nerlens Noel type of athlete, just doesnt have alot of defensive tenacity.
I think he is one guy in similar position to Cj Leslie, just looking at it from a basketball genious perspective, this i cannot exatly explain why

qDizzle32ParticipantThe reason why he still hasn’t been cleared yet is nothing to do with his academics because he has already reached all of the standards he needs. The NCAA is investigating his eligibilty due to profits he possibly recieved in high school. It’s a lot similar to the Shabazz Muhammad case, only that it’s occuring at the middle of the season instead of the begininng. Watched him play quite a few times in high school and I was amazed by his athleticism and the amount of natural talent he is gifted with. Definitely has the talent to be a 1st rounder no matter what, even a lottery pick. If he declares without being granted to play in college, teams will question his status. Unless he does a fantastic job at the combine and pre draft workouts which he could do, those would be ultimate ways of finding himself a spot in the 1st round. It could go both ways after declaring after sitting out a year. Enes Kanter was picked 3rd overall after being ruled perminately ineligible by the NCAA. Shabazz Muhammad probably would have been drafted higher than 14th if he would have never been cleared and Ricky Ledo was widely to be believed to have been better than a Mid 2nd Round Pick if he had stayed in school at least one more year. I hope the D-League becomes more relevant for those types of players who struggle academically or can’t play in the NCAA for whatever reason or the guys like Brandon Jennings and Jeremy Tyler who don’t have desire of getting a college degree.

Lotto StudParticipantChris Walker is one that I don’t know much about besides his mixtapes and McDonald’s appearance. I actually can say I want to join the Sky Walker wave because I see he can grow as a player to become something special. As always it’s about the quick buck when you are a player of his caliber. I would love to see him return next season if he does not get a chance to play this year, but the chances of that happening are slim to none in my book. Most will throw C.J. Leslie out there but I see more of an Amir Johnson at the same stage when Johnson was more athletic than he is now.

ball4life23ParticipantHe can definetely go lottery. As a Florida fan, the current failure of the NCAA is very frustrating. I’ve seen highlights and kept an eye on him in the McDonald’s game and Jordan Brand Classic.
What he brings is a lot of athleticism. If he ever gets to Florida all he will need to do is make athletic flashes to jump up the draft board. What he will bring though other than atheticism that rivals Andrew Wiggins for the top in the class, is a pretty good jump shot and handles that I think he has been working on lately, and a growing post game as he puts on more muscle. In high school he was 6"10 190 Lbs, but now he’s between 210-225. He also is a very good jump blocker with a 40+ inch vertical. He is very raw right now which would sort of be expected since he stayed at a small school that has never been good at basketball because he didn’t want to leave his mom, but the potential for him is insane.

Lotto StudParticipantI don’t want to seem outrageous but Chris is in the best position right now as a One & Done prospect because he is not the focal point. He’s coming off the bench as a high energy guy, that just has to play hard when his number is called and show flashes of himself on the offensive end. The lobs are ok but what sold me to say he’s most definitely a Top 15 prospect come draft time, is his ability to play defense at a high rate and recover quickly to alter shots.
By him coming off the bench he gives his team that extra umph to succeed in March come tournament time. If I’m a GM I see high reward no risk at all with Walker.

lalailaParticipantIf Chris Walker puts up Aaron Gordon stats or close (I think he can later in the season) I would take him as an super-athlete high-energy guy ‘with potential’
