Demarcus Cousins is a man amongst boys so far this year.

After getting the boot in PHX, Kendall Marshall is playing very very well in LA

Speaking of Phoenix, How about Gerald Green and his huge season?

Seems like the last few games Joe Johnson is living up to that contract lol

I still got faith in him, but after seeing Marquis Teague look average in the D-League, I wonder if he will ever put it all together.

Hope everyone see’s now how important Westbrook is to OKC and he plays the way he plays for  a reason!

    Anybody got anymore?

Anthony Bennett has played a total of 10 minutes in the last 4 games, with the last 2 games as DNP. Send him to the D-League.

Its reassuring to see that I was correct when I said Anthony Bennet wasn’t worth the first pick. The scary thing is he’s much worse than I anticipated.

have not seen a single Cavs game this season, but his numbers speak for themself.  Does he have the potential to be the worst #1 pick of all time?  What made the GM think a guy his size will excel at that position and be worth that pick?  He basically looks like a bad version of Jason Maxiel.

I hate the stigma that the D-League has.  A lot of players don’t like going to the D-League because they feel that it means "you’re not good enough".  But some guys love going to the D-League, especially when they have deep teams and know they’re not going to get any burn during the regular season or the playoffs in the NBA.

Jeremy Lamb went to the D-League last season and I think it did wonders for him and his confidence as well as the confidence that the Thunder organization had in him.  Instead of sitting on the bench collecting DNPs and paychecks, they sent him down to continue to improve.

Anthony Bennett, on the other hand, is collecting DNPs and hardly playing at all.  He should have been sent to the D-League weeks ago!  Instead, he’s sitting on the bench collecting DNPs, and even when he does get some playing time, he’s out of rhythm, rusty, and out of shape.  It’s sort of a catch-22.  He’s out of rhythm because he doesn’t play but doesn’t play because he’s out of rhythm.

I believe I read an article that claimed Anthony Bennett was open to go to the D-League.

I couldn’t agree more about the negative way all these pre-Madonna’s view the D-league.  I wish it would take off and become more like minor league baseball.

Reminds me a lot of Michael Sweetney. Does anybody still remember his fat a-s on that tight Bulls jersey.

Enes Kanter put up 20 and 10 on the Spurs, I can’t remember the last time he or Favors did that against a good team…

Thad Young hit a huge 3 to help the 76ers snap a losing streak, do the 76ers realize his value to other teams and trade him for a few draft picks??? Where would Thad Young fit in, who could use him the most???

The Heat got throttled by the Wizards, losing their 3rd straight, rest easy though Heat fans they have a matchup with my 76ers…

Greg Oden was activated and played well in limited minutes, I’m very happy to see him back in the NBA, even if he’s playing for Miami on a one year try-out…

The Pelicans keep losing games out West, I didn’t think they were a playoff Team to begin with, but will they be top 7-9 pick bad by the end of the year???

The Sixers certainly realize Thad Young’s value to other teams…but they also realize his value to their team. He is a great guy for the young guys to learn from because he plays hard all the time and does things the right way. He is also scoring over 17 a night and is top 10 in the league in steals which is unheard of for a power forward. Now that he is making 1 three per game at 39% his value has gone even higher as a stretch 4 that can defend multiple positions. He is a guy that you don’t have to run plays for and could score 15 a game on almost any team in the league.

The list of teams that would want Thad should be extensive. He has 2 years on has is deal after this year at just under 10 million per season. That is pretty much right on what he should be getting paid considering Paul Millsap just signed a free agent deal in Atlanta for 9.5 million a year and they are very similar players in terms of production. This number could make it difficult for teams looking to trade for Thad because it would be likely the Sixers would want young cheap players….not an expiring contract (they already have enough cap space they won’t be able to use).

I think the teams that really should be the most interested are the teams out West. OKC and San Antonio are at the top of the list. The Spurs could use some athletic frontcourt players and Thad would play next to Duncan tremendously. OKC really only has Ibaka inside and Thad could really do some damage with Durant and Westbrook getting all the attention. Phoenix and Dallas could be options as well since both organizations have shown that they want to spend money and make moves. They are currently 7th and 8th in the West respectively and could use some front court help as they try to make the playoffs in the ultra competive West. Thad might not be as great a fit playing with Dirk but like I said he is such a great glue guy he can be successful anywhere.

Here is a potential trade idea where the Thunder get Thad and the Sixers get Lamb, PJ III, Thabeet and Collison. OKC likely wouldn’t want to give up Collison but the other younger guys might make sense. Reggie Jackson is already a great 6th man when Westbrook returns. They would be losing some shooting at the SG in Lamb but they would be adding some shooting outside from Thad Young to make up for it…and he brings a lot more than that.

This trade could help the Sixers who desperately need a SG to play next to MCW that can stretch the floor. It also makes the Thunder even better in the short term although it does take some of their prospects…maybe the Sixers would trade 2nd round picks as well or something to even out the deal. Here it is.

Good take on Kanter.  I don’t understand why he doesn’t get clock.  He must really have a poor work ethic.  I think he was really out of shape and now he’s getting his wind back.  I hope he gets unleashed soon.  I lost Al Horford on my fantasy squad and could sure use Kanter.

I had such high hopes for him in Chicago, but agree 100% with what you have seen.  Thibs never trusted him completely and the signing of DJ Augustin was the nail in the coffin with the Bulls.  I fully expect him to be a part of a small deal Chicago pulls off before the deadline.

Eric Gordon is averaging 23 points on 53% FG, 54% 3PT and 83% FT his last 5 games. For the month, he’s averaging 20 points on 51% FG, 49% 3PT and 87% FT.

He’s shooting the ball really well and he’s starting to get that first step quickness back. Last night against Houston, he had 35 points (11-17 FG, 6-9 3PT, 7-8 FT, 3 rebounds and 6 assists).

Eric Gordon has been playing better lately but is still no where close to the player he was on the clippers. He doesn’t play with that same fire anymore. there r games where he just looks disinterested. I always saw Gordon as a highly competive kid who played with a lot of fire and passion on both ends of the court during his clipper days and on Team USA. He doesn’t play that same way anymore, idk if it’s because he’s lacking the physical tools he once had. Yes he looks quicker than he has in years past but his first step in LA was on another level. He doesn’t play above the rim anymore. Its kinda like Vince carter and wade now, who every now and than will have a huge dunk and show u flash backs. The difference being both wade and carter r past there prime and Gordon hasn’t entered his yet. Quite simply he’s not the athlete he once was and it shows. I’m not sure y either. His knee injury didn’t seem bad enough to rob him of his athleticism but it has. It remains to be seen whether he can regain it, but it’s looking more doubtfull. He’s still a very good player but his best days might behind him, which is sad.

DeMarcus is a man against boys…but will any team have a top 15 D with him manning the middle? needs to be paired with a shot blocker who can also spread the floor, and those are rare. I’d love to see the Kings make a play for Spencer Hawes when his contract expires this Summer, but he’s been playing so well he might have priced himself out.

They’ve also got Isaiah Thomas to look after, and because it’s the Kings, my not-so-brave offseason prediction is that he gets SEVERELY overpaid this Summer. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they gave him 10 mill+.

But you could use the same question for Carmelo Anthony at his position where small forwards are considered to be the best defenders on most teams.

Terrence Jones has really impressed me, also been key to my elite fantasy squad!  His game looks awkward but he gets it done.  His versatility on defense with his quickness and help defense allows Dwight to just protect the rim.  I really think his emergence could make Houston a contender if not this year, definitely soon.
