     – Danny Granger – His team moved on during his injury but Granger still has a lot to offer a team. I think he could be great in Charlotte, Dallas, or even LAL if they could swing it.

     – Omer Asik – He has been trying to get out of Houston since Howard was signed.  Great fits would be Atlanta, New Orleans, and San Antonio.

     – Evan Turner – While Turner has played great this year, the 76ers are turning the team over to MCW and Turner isnt a very good fit.  Turner could be great in Portland, Boston, and Memphis.

     – Harrison Barnes – Some will disagree but I see Barnes as an Allstar and he will never get that chance with Curry, Thompson, and Iggy.  He could shine in Orlando, Miluwakee, and Charlotte.

     – Jeremy Lin – The Rockets do too much standing and watching Harden for a guy like Lin to have great success. Im still a believer in Linsanity.  LAL, Utah, and Chicago could use some Linsanity.

     – Rajon Rondo – The Celtics are putting Stevens at the front of the franchise and seeing great results.  Rondo is probably on his way out for a nice rebuilding package.  Almost every team in the NBA would love to have Rondo.  Players like him, fit into almost every system.

I’m sorry, but if you’ve watched the Rockets this season, you’d see that Jeremy Lin fits perfectly.  Especially when Patrick Beverley is healthy and Lin comes off the bench.

I think Rondo will eventually be moved, either by trade or as a free agent next season.

Evan Turner is one that I might see being moved, especially if the 76ers draft a SF.

    I agree with Asik.

I think Barnes is best on the Warriors.  There is no pressure for him to take over a game yet he always has an opportunity to have big games because he still plays 30+ MPG.

I’m all for either of them coming to Charlotte! How great would it be for the Bobcats to get Barnes after passing on him.

With both Granger & Barnes at the SF position, and MKG supposebly expendable in Charlotte, could you see any possible trades working out? What I’m asking is could you see Indiana or Golden State benifiting from adding MKG?

Washington have 4 small forwards. Ariza, Webster, Singleton and Otto Porter (remember him!!). I am really surprised they traded Okafor to the Suns, I thought one of these 4 might get traded.

Denver have Fournier, Jordan Hamilton and Quincey Miller who have all sat the pine (and thats with Gallanari injured, wait till he gets back)

I was high on Hamilton coming out of college, I think he needs an opportunity to get more minutes elsewhere to develop…..

     – Lin is great on Houston, they need him to be their 6th man to come off the bench and be their leading scorer/playmaker when Harden is on the bench. While Lin could have a "bigger" role somewhere else, it’s not like he’s going to carry a team to being title contenders. Lin is arguably the Rocket’s 3rd best player, or 4th.

    – GS isn’t going to just move Barnes so he can "shine" somewhere else. Sorry. Yes in a few years he could possibly be a great #2 or #1 guy on a team, but I think with Andre getting older and being more of a glue-type player, along with Lee aging, Barnes will be the Warriors 3rd  possibly 2nd best player very soon, and back in the starting rotation.

    The rest I agree with.

I would add Greg Monroe. Detroit for better or worse is stuck with Josh Smith, and Andre Drummond, well he’s a monster. The frontcourt of Drummond/Monroe/Smith is not going to work in today’s NBA, where spacing, perimiter shooting, and playing up-tempo are crucial to good offense. Monroe, I think is one of the most underrated players in the NBA, not a great defensive player, but I think he’s one the best post/back to the basket players on offense. So skilled and great footwork.

The same could be said of pretty much everyone on the Kings…although they have been almost a .500 team the last 20 games.

Houston underestimated the impact of those back loaded contracts they gave to Lin and Asik.  Yeah, I understand they are cap friendlier than they appear, but someone is still on the hook for paying those inflated salaries at the end of their deals.  No other GM’s want to let Houston off the hook for those contracts adding another layer of difficulty in trading those two guys.

I don’t think Danny Granger needs a trade. He’s been waiting majority of his career to be on a team like this… A legit championship contender.

He’s embraced his role and I think he understands this will probably be his last season w/ the Pacers (unless he’s willing to take a massive pay cut next season).

I don’t think Larry Bird will trade him either. For one, he doesn’t want to bring back salary that goes past this season since Lance Stephenson needs to be re-signed this summer.

I really really don’t think the Celtics are going to trade Rondo… unless he doesn’t get along well with Stevens. I actually believe Ainge when he says they’re going to rebuild around him.

I’d like to see Josh Selby get some shine somewhere maybe a Milwaukee or someplace similar….also with Brooks and Crawford coming to the Bay maybe Kent Bazemore could be moved (although unlikely) to somewhere like Utah who needs back court help

Good post.  I see no reason for the Celtics to trade Rondo.  He is still relatively young and although he can be a pain in the butt at times his experience alone provides great veteran leadership.  They currently have some players on the squad he should and will be part of the rebuilding process; Bradley, Green, and possibly Olnyk, add a good prospect in the upcoming draft and I like their direction.

    Asik has to go…enough said

Lin could put up better numbers on another team but I agree with tongue out like 23 he really works well for them.  When Beverely comes back I would shift Lin back to the bench.  McHale should attempt to have Lin on the court for every single minute that Harden doesn’t play in order to utilize his play making ability more.  What has really impressed me with Lin this year though is when he is on the court with Harden he has really done a good job knocking down spot up Jumpers, this is not what I though was a strength of his prior to this year.

Definitely time for Granger to move on, just don’t know who wants him that bad or what he has left.

Evan Turner has really improved over the last couple years.  Living up to the number two pick…probably not, but he is still a good player.  He would really be good on a team where he can handle the ball a lot and be the facilitator.  I think he would fit real nice on the Bobcats.  They play pretty slow and I think Evan would succeed in their half court sets.  Kemba Walker is a complete gunner and I think he could be able to play off the ball well knocking down open looks and cutting all over the place.  Not to say Kemba will primarily play off the ball but could some.  With the Bobcats showing some signs of improvement and in the playoff hunt he would be a great addition.  Being that the bobcats aren’t looking like they will be picking in the top 10, Turner would be worth their pick IMO, other pieces could be involved too.

Well with players like Lance Stevenson and Tony Wroten turning into good players, I would really like to see what other combo-guards/sg could do if put in the right situation. That would include guys like Alec Burks and Iman Shumpert.

Burks is a good player, and should probably be starting for the Jazz if/when Hayward leaves. The Jazz will play him a lot one day, and then he’ll get >20 minutes the next day. I don’t think he needs a trade, but he should definately be getting steady minutes and shots.

Iman is just wasting his talent on the Knicks in my opinion. I think he could be a 15-5-5 type of player with solid defense (Or at least play the Avery Bradley role), but the Knicks just don’t put him in a situation to succeed. Shump is a good player, and I think he deserves to be in a better situation.

I would love for the pistons to nab either Evan Turner, Danny Granger or Harrison barnes…because they are all within the pistons reach and they desparetly needs a wing shooter/defender.

Oh and I would add Aaron Affalo on that first post…seems as though Orlando are moving on without Affalo and are trying to get some picks and building blocks to pair with Oliadipo and Vucevic

Barnes needs to move and I know this is not a popular opinion but I think he will be a better player than Thompson in long run. The splash brothers are a great name but I see Barnes with more upside. People point to Barnes off the bounce game but Klay isn’t better right now off the bounce. I also think that the looks Barnes get are a lot of after thoughts 4th option shots.

To me he is a very strong number 2 option and if he can get his handle tight enough maybe a number one (not on warriors) . Plus he has potential to be very good defender.

Mark Jackson loves Curry/Thompson combo, and the money they spent on Iggy will never let him develop. I am big Warriors fan but I don’t think they will ever get to a finals with splash brothers backcourt. They just don’t play good enough defence to beat top teams. Plus I cannot remember at team in recent past where the pg was leading scorer on the team. I think there best 5 in time would be Curry/Iggy/Barnes/Lee/Bogut.

I agree on Barnes.  He is a very versatile player.  I think he is having a tough time getting in a rhythm with inconsistent playing time and not ever being on the court with the same group.  It’s also tough not having very many shots, it looks like he is a robot out there constantly thinking about what coach is telling him rather than reacting.  Only his second year, but I do think he will be an all-star one day.
