alexsonic60ParticipantHello guys, this is my first post. I’m french, 19 and Detroit supporter.
I would know what do you think about Amida Brimah, the UCONN freshman. He’s 7’0 feet and has putted incredible stats last match with 20pts 8reb 5blk in 20min. His blk ratio per 40 min is one of the best of the country. He reminds me of a poor Embiid, which is very good !!
So do you think he has an NBA potential ?

ProudGrandpaParticipantHe blocks shots…and doesn’t do much else. The 20-point outing was a total fluke. I think he’s averaging something like 2 PPG on the year. He’s got promise, but I don’t like the poor man’s embiid comparison.

The QParticipantHis numbers are slightly skewed from playing 4 and 5 minutes in 2 games earlier this season, but yeah, he’s very raw offensively.
He really needs another year especially to work on his body, get bigger and stronger so he can finish around the rim.

FearTheStacheParticipantMy UConn brother. I don’t think he has much of an NBA future, but he can rebound and block shots which will be great in college. Watch out for UConn next year. Brimah, Omar Calhoun, Boatwright, NC States Rodney Purvis, Danial Hamilton, the best of the Hamilton bros (Jordan, Isaac)

The QParticipantStache you a CT homey too?
I’m a little concerned about their ball handling with only Boatright as a PG (not to mention its a very real possibility Boatright will leave early too) and the team will be scrambling to find someone who can actually dribble.
I’m not 100% convinced next year’s team will be better than this years. But maybe if Nolan and Facey get some toughness they could be since this year’s team is horrid on the boards when Brimah isn’t in.

FearTheStacheParticipantI’m not sure if they’ll be incredible next year, but the one thing I’ve noticed this season is the lack of talent. They don’t play poorly, it’s just that, besides a few starters, they don’t have any strong talent, like seriously none. Next year, that will not be a problem.
