JM40ParticipantI know everyone is down on UK hoops at the moment (and it is deserved at the moment), but just consider how loaded this team would be if some of their players would have stayed a few years. Here’s an idea of their depth chart:
PG: Brandon Knight/Marquis Teague/Andrew Harrison
SG: James Young/Aaron Harrison/Archie Goodwin
SF: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist/Terrence Jones
PF: Julius Randle/Nerlens Noel/Alex Poythress
C: Anthony Davis/Enes Kanter/Dakari Johnson

JM40ParticipantScratch Dakari Johnson, add Willie Cauley-Stein

Chilbert arenasParticipantJust nit-picking but Terrence Jones plays the 4 in the pros and never really played much of the 3 when he was at Kentucky and Enes Kanter was never eligible and never would be due to his amateur status.

JM40ParticipantOk, then scratch Kanter and add Dakari Johnson. You could also add Doran Lamb as your 14th man if you want to drop Terrence Jones as a wing.

CameronCrazy11ParticipantWhen I look at hypothetical scenarios like that, I actually like trying to guess where guys would’ve gone if college basketball players had to stay for three years like college football players do. Some guys would be willing to make the sacrifice and sit when they’re younger, but I think a lot of other guys would prefer to be a star and/or starter from day one even if it means going to a smaller school. This would make college basketball as a whole better and would make March Madness incredible.
