I think Deng is a top 10 small forward unless you are counting injuries against him but then Kobe and Rose wouldn’t be on the list. and Brook Lopez is without question a top 10 center. I would even say Beal is a top 10 shooting guard.

Yeah Beal should definitely be on the list . I would maybe put Ibaka in front of Thad Young.

I think Brandon Jennings deserves to be in the top 10 avg. 18ppg 8ast, 3rpg.  and almost 2 steals. Especially over Derrick Rose who is not playing right now and the good, but Turnover prone MCW…its’ too soon to put him on the list.

Also Monroe derseves a nod over Derrick Favors if your considering him as a C, or deserves a nod over Young if your classifying him as PF

Why is Kobe in the top 3 for Sg’s. Even though he’s a sure fire hall of famer, he def has not been playing like on all season Monta should be above Lance.

Chandler Parson is good but not better than Luol Deng (even if he is inj. often)

Good list, but I think Monta Ellis is a better 2 guard than Demar Derozan.

I also think Rudy Gay has to be a top 10 Small Forward. Parsons and those guys are good and fit in with their teams but they aren’t actually better players than Rudy.

Another thing I noticed is that you dont have Chris Bosh on the list at all. Power Foward nor Center

I more or less agree with the top of most of your lists but the bottom half of each position gets a bit weird

PG – MCW is not a top 10 PG, and based off this season I’m not sure Jrue is either. Ty Lawson, Jeff Teague and Eric Bledsoe are all more deserving of a spot. Since you’re including guys that are injured like Rose and Kobe, Rondo deserves a mention too.

SG – Beal deserves a spot.

SF – Deng and Gay should be on here

PF – Young over Monroe and Ibaka (14.4 PPG, 9 RPG, 2.3 BPG, 52 FG%, 79 Ft%) is pretty questionable

C – Brook Lopez is the best offensive center in the league, there’s no way he should be left off a top 10 list.

Chris Bosh should be on here either as a PF or C. No his numbers won’t jump out at you but he’s an excellent third option that plays very efficiently in limited minutes (averaging just under 29 a game).

He isn’t as great as people think he is (right now).   The main reason the Pacers are winning is because of their team defense and Roy Hibbert’s dominance on the defensive end.   He really is a game changer for them defensively as he changes so many shots.   Dwight Howard or Ibaka isn’t changing the game the way Roy Hibbert does for the Pacers.   Go take a look at Paul George’s numbers.   He doesn’t rebound well for his position and this is only the first year he has ever averaged more than 20 points.   Danny Granger put up identical numbers to PG 3 years in a row and no one would dare to call Danny better than Melo.   Paul also scored 7 points in Game 7 of the Eastern Confernce Finals.  No one remembers that huh?  He’s going to be great and there is no doubt about that, but consistency is what makes players superstars.  Let’s hold off on putting him above proven players until he shows he’s able to do this at least to next year.   Because he’s slightly overrated right now. (He’s becoming America’s "can’t do no wrong player" ala Chris Paul).

Is it just me or Blake Griffin really hasn’t improve much.   Like he didn’t take that next step to be the Superstar people claim he is.  He’s not a go-to guy.  It’s hard to describe it but he aint there yet.

Your analysis of Paul George is poor. He is currently sitting in 4th in winshares in the NBA behind Paul, James and Durant (In that order).

Paul George has been the best second half/3rd quarter scorer in the NBA this season as well. The games Paul George plays well in are games the Pacers win frequently. Roy has struggled from time to time however the stellar play of George has carried them through.

Granger was great for the Pacers in putting up those numbers, but there are 2 keys differences between him and George. 1. Paul George is one of the best all-around players in the NBA on both sides of the ball, he plays defense and offense at an elite level to this point.  2. George is currently putting these numbers up on a Championship caliber team, Granger was a guy putting up big numbers on a bad team, not taking it away from him, but the fact that Vogel and the other guys on the team look to a 23yr old to lead them should speak volumes.

Granger was also 25/26 when he put up those numbers, George is still only 23 yrs old.

Yes we have a great Indiana Pacers TEAM, but the fact that George has become so dominant on both ends of the floor is the catalyst for this side.

The Pacers are strictly winning on team defense alone.   I never said Roy Hibbert’s offense is what’s carrying this team.  His defense is.   I literally watched Paul George get crucified on defense while gaurding elite players at his position and get bailed out by Hibbert’s presence.   Need proof?  Watch the first game versus the Knicks and tell me Hibbert didn’t change a bunch of Melo’s shots at the rim.

I’ll give you that PG has stepped up, but averaging 23 points a game doesn’t sound too great.   He’s playing on a team that is number one in the NBA in opponent FG% and #1 in opponent’s points per game.  The Pacers are so long defensively (pause) that they are #1 in opponent’s 3 Point FG% as well.  That’s not directly attributed to Paul George.   He goes missing for majority of the first half and comes alive in the 3rd Quarter offensively.  I don’t know if that’s planned or a rhythm thing but its true.   The one thing that has impressed me about Paul George is his ability to come through in close games (which the Pacers have a lot of).  He’s very talented and its scary how good he can be.   But he’s being overrated right now and he’s one of my favorite players so there is no hate.   I’ve been to a couple of Pacers games this year and watched at home.   He’s a stud, but ranking him above Melo right now isn’t right.  The Pacers are an awesome TEAM.   With Paul George as their leading scorer and go to player in the 4th.  Outside of that they do everything as a team with Hibbert protecting the paint.   They even rebound as a team with everyone being an average rebounder for their position. (Lance is the only one and he’s outrebounding George, go figure)

The Granger thing.  Percentage’s are always a tell tell sign if players are putting up garbage numbers.  And Granger had All-Star Seasons as the Pacers go to player.   The same percentages as Paul George, so you can discredit that all you want but the stats are there.   Granger was just as clutch during that time too.   I’m also not taking away from what George COULD possibly become.  So saying that he’s 23 has nothing to do with this current debate.   Right now today Paul George’s offensive game isn’t better than Melo and his rebounding isn’t either.  His defense is better agreed, but not enough for me to put him ahead of Melo overrall.   Side note:  I’ve had arguments with people who thinks he’s better than Durant, which is nuts on so many levels but whatev.
