STEVEDOT2ParticipantI been noticed the jazz need and athlete at the small foward or the shooting gaurd way before aran said something about it. Today i did my research on the jazz the dont have great draft history even tho they have hall of famers malone and stockton, d will great pick up to. mots people they draft they keep thtats a good sign. but i dont want to see them rebuild. if the jazz can get a freak of nature type player who can play 3 postion, or can dominate at 2 postion and be 1 of the best in the league they a be contenders.
the start of the season i said vince but hes getting up there in age. rudy gay perfect player for utah. i really think they should go after him they gave the lakers a run deron was ungaurdable now imagine rudy being added he a be a big time scorig option if boozer isnt there and if the jazz are willing to give up draft picks.im not 1 to make up crazzy trades i hate most on this site but i had to say something.0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/18/2009 - 3:00pm #167817

Mr.CreativeParticipantIt’s quite true that Utah needs a bit athleticism and a solid shooting guard. With their draft history, they have passed on a couple of good players namely, Mo Williams. Besides that, hopefully they can do some trades to help their team become much stronger and faster. But being a Jazz fan, I like the team now it is just that they need a few tweaks here and there. It’s been long overdue for Sloan, he deserves the Coach of the Year award and a ring before he leaves. But in order to do there, he needs to add a few new things to how the Jazz plays.
Rudy Gay would be fantastic on the Jazz, he is an athlete and can run up and down the court. A few months back before last season’s trade deadline, there were talks of Boozer going to Houston for Artest & Scola. Man, if that had happened! But, I doubt that trade due to the fact that the Jazz were asking for a bit much.

STEVEDOT2ParticipantMybad for the grammar lol. But Rudy a be a big addition to the roster. ak 47 blocking shoots getting rebounds and rudys blocks a go up also playing smaller 2 gaurds. Utah did great drafting Kufos to replace Okur. Milsap will replace boozer.
Its juss they did so poor drafting perimeter players in the last drafts they need to improve their scouts. But they should go after gay now or when his contract up another young player to build around Deron for now and try to get a star out of the 2010 summer. Amere anybody? But these are some ideas I rember when i said denver need to shake things up back when they had iverson what did they do trade iverson for billups. In a few years in a few more good front office moves expect the jazz to be a team to come out of nowhere and dominate ala Denver nuggets0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/18/2009 - 5:30pm #167939

Mr.CreativeParticipantYes, Rudy is definitely a good addition to the team if they were to do a trade for him. Koufos did a good job last season. He did not surprise anyone with his game but he did contribute. Getting Rudy will give the Jazz some speed and youth. Amare’? Hmmm…He could do okay I guess, but aside from that, he does not commit to playing defense. He loves D’Antoni’s fast paced offense. If he were to come to Utah, I doubt that he would want to. He is a solid player, but I don’t see him playing with the Jazz. The Jazz emphasize on defense but at times during the regular season, their ‘D’ is inconsistent. I hope they become the Northwest division champs again. Go Jazz!

STEVEDOT2ParticipantI juss love Ameres’ skill set he can do everything boozer does better and with his work ethic he can even have a stronger left hand with sloan in his ear.Plus hes faster then boozer and taller so the pick an roll a be way better. He can even shoot the 3 spreading the floor bringing the opposing powrfoward out of the paint thats an iso for deron and its letting him run the pick and roll system jerry sloan is famous for a liite easier. Amere developed a shot in the league straight out of high school so I think he can learn how to turn his defense up. I hope kufos developes a game like kristic/and okur

j1232eParticipantThe reason the jazz don’t have a great draft history is because they are consistantlly drafting high in the 1st round. I actually think the jazz have done pretty decient with the draft.

butidonthavemoneySince the 1984 draft:
Karl Malone @ 13 (+1)
Kirk Snyder @ 14 (-1)
Deron Williams @ 3 (+1)
Ronnie Brewer @ 14 (+1)
Those have been our only lottery picks (1984-2009). Pretty good draft history if you ask me.

STEVEDOT2Participantin 2001 the jazz took a player not in the nba anymore at 24 an in the next 6 picks.
tony parker, dalembert, gerald wallace, tinsley, and gilbert areans were drafted
in 2004 utah drafted kris humphris right after this pick boston drafted al jefferson
with the next pick utah drafted kirk snyder the next note worthy picks after this are delonte west and jemear nelson wo had put on a real show in colloge the best duo that year beside okafor and ben gordon but they alson passed on jr smith, josh smith, kevin martin. Not to mention they didnt trade up 1 of their picks to get a top ten player that would have been around tell this day.We arent that good a drafting. 84 nd 85 was over 20 years ago.
