Obviously Tony Parker is having another solid year…but the WC has a load of guards who are equally or more deserving.

The Spurs are damn good so I’ll assume they’d have a representative at the ASG

(assuming cp3, kobe, harden, curry, and westbrook are locks)

Only 1 of these guys will go, the rest wont…Who’s your choice?

    Tony Parker

    Eric Bledsoe

    Damian Lillard

    Ty Lawson

Note: this is with the assumption that the remaining 6 spots belong to: aldridge, griffin, love, durant, dwight, and 1 more frontcourt player (cousins/anthony davis)

Well Kobe might not be healthy for the ASG, so that helps matters. I think Parker makes it over the rest of those guys.

My guess is that the coaches will vote Parker in.

NEEDS to get in this year. Probabaly won’t be voted in, so it’s on the coaches…

Based on Golden State’s defense last night, Marco Belinelli and Patty Mills will be All-Stars.

I wouldnt be surprised if the coaches vote Duncan to the team over Cousins or Anthony Davis..Even though both guys are deserving….

Duncan is averaging 14 pts/9 rbs 48%fg,but the Spurs record this year, his impressive resume and reputation will help him….

I do not see Curry as a lock by the way. I think he 100% should make it, but right now his team is out of the playoffs and the coaches always seem to take that into account. It would be insane if Curry and Davis didn’t make it, but coaches do the voting and always consider records.

Not Aron Baynes. Man, watching him get the start last night was ugly. It was like watching late career Joe Wolf, only without the mullet.

I think Parker will be the Spurs Rep unless Timmy starts playing out of his mind for the next 4-5 weeks

Lillard IMO is a lock is if he and Portland keep their pace-

If duncan goes 17/10 2. blocks etc over the next 4-6 weeks then I think he gets in also -Next in line for me is AD 20/10 and 3 blk is crazy but the pells aren’t winning maybe curry but Gstate is not a playoff team as of right now either-If Tim,Curry or AD doesn’t get the spot then I would say either Parson 17/5/5 or Ibaka potentially as their teams are winning-The norm with coaches they place importance on ‘Winning’.

Cousin is a stretch as they are last in the west and his number 22/10 are good but not great and with ‘Front Court’ Players not really Centers being listed I doubt he makes it.

I wouldnt be suprised if the west  goes with like 5PGS

I want to start off by saying I am a HUGE fan of Curry. Huge. He is one of my favorite players in the league, but he averaged 23,7,4 last year and didn’t make it. I agree that it would be terrible if he didn’t make it, but coaches always take record into account. If it comes down to Parker, Lillard, and Curry then the coaches will look and see two of the teams are 22-5 and one is 14-13. Curry has put him insane numbers and he should 100% make the allstar team if I were voting, but I do not think he is a 100% lock. That’s all I am saying.

Curry is in for sure. He is a breakout star that the NBA is pushing and for good reason. If you remember he broke out last year but it was really after the all star break. His numbers were 23 7 and 4 by the end of the season but if you break it down his numbers weren’t nearly as good in the first half of the year. He was still one of the more notable snubs at that point but by the end of the year it really looked worse than it was that he didn’t make it. This is even more of a reason that he is 100% in this year.

He averaged 19 and 6 in November, 21.5 and 7 in December, 23.5 and 6 in January and then from February on he was at 25 ppg each month while increasing his assists per game every month as well. He had 5 30+ point games pre all-star break then he had 9 30+ point games post all star break including games of 47 and 54.

    West Starters:

    C – Dwight Howard

    F – Blake Griffin

    F – Kevin Durant

G – Stephen Curry (Kobe’s replacement) – He’s averaging 24.5 points 46% FG, 41% 3PT and 88% FT, 4.1 rebounds, 9.3 assists and 1.9 steals. Other than Chris Paul, it’s arguable he’s been the second best guard in the entire league. The Warriors are currently not in the playoffs, but there’s very little separating them from the 6th seed.

    G – Chris Paul

    Reserves:

F – Lamarcus Aldridge – Should be starting

    F – Kevin Love

F – Tim Duncan/Anthony Davis/Dirk Nowitzki – Too tough to decide between these three for me. Nobody is talking about Dirk, but he’s averaging 21 on 50, 40 and 90 shooting and his team is currently the 6th seed. Duncan is putting up 18 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks per 36. Davis putting up monster numbers and the game is in NO, but he’s missed a handfull of games due to injury and his team is currently ranked 12th in the conference.

    G – Tony Parker

    G – James Harden

    G – Russell Westbrook

G – Damian Lillard – His FG% is low (43% 3PT and 90% FT though), but he’s been great and is showing that he’s a clutch player. Unlike Curry, Harden and Westbrook, he takes great care of the ball and barely turns it over.

    Snubs:

    Tim Duncan/Anthony Davis/Dirk Nowitzki

    Eric Bledsoe

    Goran Dragic

    Monta Ellis

    Serge Ibaka
