Lotto StudParticipantLast year he fell off the radar.
What are your thoughts on him as a draft prospect?

prophetmeirParticipantIts a bad time for joe right now, I thought he should have came out last year. There are so many better prospects that are better than him right now that falls in his draft postion. Ex napier, boatwright carson etc

RUDEBOY_ParticipantHe is a good playmaker, but there are questions about his size, outside shooting and who he’ll guard at the next level..
Jackson does an excellent job of taking care of the ball and he always takes good shots…All of Memphis guards will get nba looks….But i think Geron Johnson is the best of the bunch and might be the only 1 that gets drafted….

I think Joe Jackson will be invited to rookie camps but I don’t think he will be drafted. He’s not very big but he plays the point guard role well. He’s also a good leader who is not afraid to take the big shot.
If he goes to the right team in training camp I think he could make an NBA team. He might just be the guy a team needs as a 3rd string point guard.
Geron Johnson is a better physical talent and athlete but he is not a true point guard. He’s more of a combo guard I guess. He will have to make DEFENSE his calling card as well as getting other guys going and then also rebounding well.
He reminds me of a combo of Antonio Anderson with some of Derrick Rose’s explosiveness and finishing skills. His unique skillset to go with his athleticism would make him worth using a late second round pick on. At the end of the day, if Geron Johnson is a guy who can defend NBA point guards as well as shooting guards, as well as a guy who can finish above the rim, then I think he can have an NBA career.
