IknoBall12ParticipantIs it me or did anyone else not see this coming? I mean all of my friends were like yea we did but they just jump on anything and say they saw it coming. But seriously the guy is flat out hooping. I only saw him as a backup to cp3 last couple years and figured you know he’s a great energy guy but if he played for another team he wouldn’t be all that. I’m really impressed with his range as a shooter as the season progresses. The guy is definitely scoring and doing a lot of things I didn’t know he was capable of

3 No Biases 3ParticipantI thought hed be a decent pro but I definitely didnt see a star in him coming out of Kentucky and I dont see how anyone could have. I’m glad hes playing great. I like his demeanor out on the court, he may not ever be a great leader but he never seems to change his emotions or get rattled.
I know Coach Cal said he would be the steal of the draft on draft day, so maybe it turns out he wasnt just biased.

bjcart53ParticipantI remember talking to my bro while he and wall were at kentucky & said it was possible for him to end up better than Wall. He has been one of the top pgs period this season. I definitely think by having the opportunity to understudy cp3 for a few seasons has prepared him for this moment and he is shining brightly. I think sometimes evolving from the 6th man on a really good team, to a star with another team is best for SOME PLAYERS & it has proven to be terrific for Bledsoe

drk3351ParticipantBledsoe has been great, but so has fellow backcourt mate Goran Dragic. Both have about equal stats 19 PPG and Dragic actaully has a better FG%.

DaGuywhodidurmaParticipantWhat do you guys think the suns do in the offseason though? Do they keep both or trade one? And if they know they only want to keep one,who do they trade? If they keep dragic wouldnt it be better to trade bledsoe now and get a kings ransom? So many questions.
Id keep them both since there will always be a team looking for a starting pg. But if I had to only keep one it have to be bledsoe because he can be an elite 2way player.

phila9012ParticipantI would keep both, it is hard for other teams to defend them and at least it gives the suns a strength and a place to build from.

azphxsuns10ParticipantI think they end up keeping both of them, at least for the next 2-3 seasons. They have been playing extremely well together as of late and have been the driving force behind the suns surprise start. If and when they trade or let one go via free agency, it’ll be Goran. Ebled is 4 years younger and does have a bit more potential than Goran. I’d love for them both to remain suns until retirement but I just don’t see it happening.

azphxsuns10ParticipantHow do you figure? He’s averaging 19 ppg, 6apg and 4 rpg in his first full year starting on a brand new team. He’s avg 11 4th qtr points and is a great closer. While he was injured the Suns struggled quite a bit and since he’s been back they’ve been on a tear. I might be wrong but I’d say that’s becoming a star. People said Paul George was becoming a star last year and Bledsoe is avg more points and asts than Paul did last year. Not sure how you came to your "hell no" conclusion.

FastAndFuriousParticipantYou say you dont see how anyone seen this coming. Well the posters know I have said Ebled would be what he is today for the longest.
With a guy like Bled his athleticism is sooooo freakish mixed in with his crazy energy, with alot of playing time he’s bound to put at best decent stats. But the guy is showing he is also pretty skilled as well, all a recipe for a very good NBA player, and I truely believe him being under Cp3 helped him out a ton, he still makes bad decisions but he’s leaps and bounds better than ever before.
He used to play at 100 mph now he changes speeds, reads the defense better, he used to just always want to drive to the rim now he takes what the defense gives him.

IndianaBasketballParticipantSo we’re declaring Eric Bledsoe a star after just 17 games?

FastAndFuriousParticipantHe said Bledsoe is becoming a star no one called him a star yet.
But if were going to be honest after 17 games he is looking like a star and factor in that the Suns are a playoff team as of now mostly because of Bledsoe I dont know what you would call it.

IndianaBasketballParticipantIs Dragic becoming a star too? He’s putting up very similar numbers to Bledsoe, but just more efficient and less turnovers.
Just think 17 games is a very small sample size to say anyone is becoming a star. We’re not even half way through the season.

FastAndFuriousParticipantDragic has been a good player. I guess its more so because Bledsoe is younger and this is his first year as a starter, on top of alot of people not believing he was no more than a 6th man who could provide a spark.
Dragic may be more efficent but Bledsoe’s defense blows Dragics away and Bledsoes numbers are all better than Dragic in every category, Dragic percentages may be better but only by a smidget literally Bledsoe is the best player on the Suns as of now.
Maybe a bit early but in a way he is becoming a star he has good numbers and Phoenix is a playoff team as of now.
And they have played 23 games to be exact.
