Is it just me, or is it really surprising that Greg Monroe is only 23?  With the combination of him coming in the league at 20 and just playing like an older guy due to his nice passing ability and mediocre athleticism and all-around consistent play.  I would’ve guessed he was 27 or 28

andre drummond is only 20, he barely made the age limit to get in the draft last year at 19, and i think he was the youngest player next to MKG.

Yeah Drummond is 20. He is only a month older than MKG. Both Drummond and Monroe look like older guys and Monroe has the game of someone more mature as well. I remember seeing drummond at a high school game when he was a Junior and I just couldn’t believe his age at all. Kid is huge and had a grown mans body.

The most shocking age I’ve recently come upon is that of Nicolas Batum: he’s 24.

24, I suppose, isn’t too too young by NBA standards, but it feels like he’s been in the NBA forever (six years).

Andy Bynum is only 26 and has also been in the NBA since 2005. LeBron is still only 28 and he’s dominated for a decade. Tyson Chandler drafted way back in 2001 only turned 31 in October too.

One that did surprise me is Zara Pachulia who seems to have been around a long time and is still only 29.

Might as well get a Grandad Oden joke in, he’s still only 25.

Talking of Greg has anyone heard any update on him playing, Roy Hibbert commented on it a couple of days ago and how Roy beasted the Heat big men, Greg’s size was perhaps needed then.
