GoodbyeChandlerParticipanti am not a memphis fan. i dont understand how things go with the grizzlies that much. however, i understand that memphis is in a situaion. the grizzlies need is a power foward and probably center. the 2nd best pf in the draft is hill but he does not seem worthy of going 2. rubio probably will not be drafted by them. instead of trading down, what about trading out? in the west, the grizzlies probably will be in the lottery next year. the talent at 2 this year may be equal to the talent at 10 next year. why not add a player who can contribute or some picks? i think they could trade both picks away i exchange for some picks next year and a solid role player. does anyone agree?

gatorheelsParticipantAbsolutely…..there are much better big men prospects in next years draft.

HaleParticipantTrade #2 this year and get a solid player and hope to land Monroe, Favors, Cousins or Aldrich next year? Doesn’t sound bad.

NJnetskiddParticipantThe Wolves are offering the #6 pick and Kevin Love for the #2 selection, I think that would be a great deal for Memphis. It would give them a good windex man at the PF position and an unselfish post player who can score or distribute the ball down low.

TyroberParticipantthey will be a lottery team next year even if they draft hill or rubio or whoever. they are not guaranteed anything like a #2 pick. they could end up being the 10th pick next year. they need to get talent this year as well as next

KevinDurantRocksParticipantWhich team could they trade to to get a high pick next year?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/18/2009 - 7:28am #167303

gatorheelsParticipantNJnetskidd- No way in hell would Minnesota give up Love & the 6th pick for the 2nd pick. Where did you read that? That is bogus.

NJnetskiddParticipantReports that the Wolves are trying to offer Kevin Love and some other pieces for the #2 pick, but would likely try and keep #6 and select someone like Jordan Hill

gatorheelsParticipantCool, thanks for posting these links. Kevin Love & #6 is just too much to give up for the 2nd pick, the TWolves wouldn’t do that. Chad Ford even said that trade was bogus ha.

auberParticipantalthough I’m not a big Kevin Love fan I still think we have of our choice of evans or Hill at 6. If we can somehow snag both we can be a very interesting team next season. I still say the 2-4 swap happens though.

leglockfanParticipantBring on the Love Train please
I would really like to see Memphis package Conley the #2 and #27 and Arthur for Love #6 and #18.
Memphis could work OJ at the point and work the Love/Mayo dynamic. Evans/Harden at the 2 with the #6 and Minn. could take Thabeet and move Al jeff back to PF and use Conley as their PG of the future.
Really even good trade for both teams IMO

leglockfanParticipantI don’t see how you think that is a bad trade.
Instead of being a cool 1 word guy go ahead and elaborate

gatorheelsParticipantI think that is a very fair trade and good trade for both teams.

Knicksboy34ParticipantNoone realize that Memphis has 2 2010 1st round picks?!?!?!?
I think Memphis should just trade the pick how about this?
2nd pick, 27th pick, Darko, Buckner and Jaric
for
12th pick, Okafor, Diop, Bell and 2nd round picks
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/18/2009 - 12:00pm #167602

gatorheelsParticipantMemphis should do that trade in a heartbeat. That leaves Charlotte with nothing though.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/18/2009 - 12:06pm #167611

Knicksboy34ParticipantCharlotte adds 2 picks. Iverson is waiting in the wings. Maybe you add a Thabeet at 2 and a Summers, Gibson or Claver at 27.
Also, shop Felton….again
