B-ball fanParticipantMarcus Smart has 24 points (of his team’s 31) in 9 minutes of court time right now against Memphis. He just had a 1:10 stretch of the game in which he scored 12 points. Just a heads up to anyone who is watching some college ball right now, because Smart is in an absolute zone, just pulling up from downtown with complete confidence.
Smart’s shot selection troubles me at times, but if he starts catching fire like this from downtown more often, he will be near impossible to stop at the college level. Wiggins, Parker and Randle have dominated the headlines early on (and deservedly so), but Smart is going to get a lot of attention after this game. I just want to see how high he can get his scoring total in this game, as he looks extremely aggressive looking for his own shots.

B-ball fanParticipantI guess I’m not the only one watching the game, haha. Just saw that the board has been infested by similar topics.

HaleParticipantPretty much every three he took was contested. So either he improved his jump shot dramatically or just got hot showing the same poor shot selection as last season.

Chilbert arenasParticipantHis shot has been on, but he’s been playing great defense on Joe Jackson not letting him even touch the ball, getting the free throw line, rebounding and setting up teammates. He has a an all around game that will keep him in the top 5 come draft day. His hands are so quick defensively and he has great instincts.
Just tied his career high with a bang out on a lob

reed4185ParticipantIm not a fan of smart but he has looked impressive tonight. Theirs two things that have bothered me a lot is his shot selection and how he has stuffed the stuffed the stat sheet but where are the assists he is a point guard.

canada2482ParticipantI think this was one of those I am hot games for Smart-He is not normally a Jump Shooter and started what 4/5 from deep, he took a few heat checks which is cool. I think Smart is more a leader than an elite PG creator, his heart and will to win is huge but how often does that go the the next level if you are not an elite of elite guy (tebow), which he wont be. He is not a natural play maker. He can be a lock down defender no doubt, and a nice piece on a chip team but I dont see star or even all-star based on what he can do. Can he improve as a Shooter, the rumors are he is a worker but how much better can he be, he doesn’t have an elite handle, and I question his play making skills. I understand in college getting assist are hard. I dont see floor general in his game. I appreciate his effort to even make the attempt to move from SG/Wing in HS to PG it is not an easy one to make
